God send IMO. My hips seem to be abnormally tight and rolling does a good job of aleviating it, making full squats and deadlifts possible for me. Injury prevention too. If your hips/shoulders/whatever are limited you will suffer injuries easier.

If you have to ask, then the clear option is #1. If you don't have to ask then you already know the answer is #1 or perhaps your answer is legitimately #2.
People who answer anything else are doing it wrong imo or are DYEL status.

I seem to have so much to 'fix' that I just cba to start doing it! Therefore I vote mystery fourth. I've had a PVC pipe and lacrosse ball for literally years...Gonna start using them soon. Today maybe? Or tomorrow. Will bump this thread in a few more years when I'm a supple leopard squatting ATG in vibramz.
