238 today. I forgot to post the scan, but I have it. I'll post when I get back to LA on Monday. Should have been like 3 lbs less but I had to go out and get wasted then eat like crap last weekend. It said my BF is down to 25.7 though, which is sweet.

237.4, same body fat %. I'm going to go ahead and donate since I know I could have done a lot better this month. I'm going to pick Occupy Wall St. or Occupy LA. Feel free to choose your charity this month.

Not a great month. I'm getting in semi-decent shape and so of course enjoying going out more and having more fun when I do. Also getting laid for the first time in a while has inspired me on that front. Which of course makes it really tough between drinking a lot, hangover day and then taking a while to get back on the horse after.

Sucks too because I know I'm rolling on the weight loss now, I've built up some muscle and my metabolism is on high. If I could just stick to the diet 3/4 of the time I'd lose my usual 5-7 lbs, which would be fine.

Next month is going to be really tough too. Going to Austin (BBQ) for a conference next weekend, then my friend is having a big Halloween party, then a wedding in NYC. The only weekend I'll have to my 50g carb thing is 11/12. Pray for mojo. Then of course the next month is Thanksgiving and all kinds of holiday parties. Then Xmas and New Years. So freaking hard to lose any weight. All I can do is keep working out a lot so at least I'll gain some muscle.

Donation Receipt #: 8617 Date of donation: Nov 10, 2011

Donation Amount: $50.00

Not sure how this month is going. I should be fat as hell given I've been doing nothing but traveling and going to parties on the weekend. But I seem to be about even. So here's hoping some weekend sweat will help me out.

So what are the overall results since this started in terms of total charity payout?

Are you guys happy with how much progress you've made and the motivation, or is it time to up the ante and really make this a death match each month, .

Well if Suzzer doesnt lose this month

Lozen Donates $350
Suzzer Doantes $400

So many months were we both lost

I am not pleased at all. I thought this would be a huge motivator. I was hoping not to have to make weight loss a goal for next year. On a positive I am down 10lbs for the year. I am sure Suzzer is not pleased also.

I have to me many should have moments at the end of the month

I will extend this challenge for next year also with no grace period for Christmas Jan 15th we continue on?

Hey I lost weight like 5 months in a row and am down 15 lbs. from my worst. I'm not thrilled but it's a lot better than gaining. And I know I've put on a lot of muscle this year. I've had a lot of people tell me I look better recently.

This month I was exactly the same - 237.4 But I had two big trips, two major birthday parties, and a ****load of other stuff. In the past I would have easily gained 5 lbs. - but I think the extra muscle is really helping. Since I haven't been able to diet like I want I've been really focused on the weight training.

This month I have nothing except for a few days of Thanksgiving with family, and am really really excited to see what I can do with almost a whole month to keep exercise and focus on the diet.

I agree better than nothing. Also I do not know what your goals were. I have had many folks say the same to me. Though I am still disappointed in the overall results.

So no weight loss for you means another donation. Ill let you choose

If your game for a continuing challenge we could change it to if you gain bofy fat or lose no weight than you have to donate to the others charity and have a final number at the year end to determine whom did better

Sounds like a $1k/month "do or die" challenge is in order, .

You gotta make the reward of getting to your target goal higher, or the pain of not getting to that goal higher. Something to actually get you to change your lifestyle permanently and never go back. That's how someone goes from 250->200 permanently. They come up with a game plan to permanently change to a diet a 200lbs person would eat.

I made a prop bet with a friend a few years ago and lost a bunch of weight. He didn't fulfill his end of the bet but that still was a lot of my motivating factor. To beat him to the weigh-in. And when I got there, I realized I had changed how I was eating systematically and it wasn't that difficult to just continue eating that way.

He had to visit me if he didn't make his weight, I had to visit him if he didn't make his weight. So not much more than ~$400 in travel. Also, he didn't make his weight, I did, and I ended up visiting him anyway, lol. I think that was the year where I actually was good at poker so the expense was really marginal by the time the bet was over.

After the weigh-in I went to Red Robin and custom ordered a Mac N Cheese Cheeseburger.

I also ended up at ~160lbs at my lowest a year or so later maybe as I tightened up my diet more after moving in with my g/f (before living with her I basically never made any real dishes - it was all frozen or like easy sandwiches or eating out).

Of course, now I'm ~175 and not gaining weight as fast as I probably "should" - lol.

I'm up for extending this to Jan-15 next year or later if you are. Believe it or not this has been really good for me. It at least insures I get a few good days in the week before weigh-in. As much traveling and other social things as I've been doing, I could have easily gained a lot more weight w/o those.
