Nice tanktop bro. If I were Busto, I would wear one of those everywhere.

5/3/1 C3W1 dem squatz
5x40
5x50

Finishing this off with one of the best post workout meals China has to offer IMO, 宫保鸡丁 or gong bao ji ding, also known as kung pao chicken. Chicken, peanuts, red chili, sichuan peppers, spring onions, rice and a ****load of oil - sichuan style. Spicy party in my throat for $3 straight to the quads!!

On the bar, or in my cells? Both I guess

I look forward to the day my squat will finally own my bench. At 9x85 my head is exploding, my face looks like I've just been hit by a car and I still feel like a weak pussy that's barely making progress. It feels like every week gets harder and harder even at CxW1. Last week I benched 8x90 and 13x82.5 and I was still completely casual thinking "come at me bro", wanting to add moar plates

It's definitely my favorite meal here, and that's a pretty big statement considering the delicacies Sichuan has to offer.

If you'd ever be in the neighbourhood, don't forget to ask for it.

I've tried it in the EU and other parts of China as well, but nothing comes close to how good they make it over here

Yeah, both. My bench feels like your squats.

Btw, I just found out that a family friend might be opening a school in Fujian where I could be making potentially much more money teaching English. I currently teach English at a college (and I love it). Don't really know much more about it right now.

Is that a potential job offer? Haha. Tbh I don't really get why so many people want to teach English in China. Seems like such a drag to me. And doesn't really open any other opportunities either? Is it that satisfying to teach some Chinese kids English? All the ppl I know that do it hate their jobs lol

Re: Skinny to huge transformation log (5/3/1+BB+P90x)

lol

I teach English to native 'Mericans here, and I love it... even though many of my students hate it. I have taught ESL students here before, and they are usually very enthusiastic about learning English.

I think the variance (in terms of liking a job out there) is going to be huge, but I am teaching English because it's what I love to do rather than something that makes money that I can do. If that school opened tomorrow, I would need to wait until the fall to even consider it, though.

Re: Skinny to huge transformation log (5/3/1+BB+P90x)

Bought a new phone which is why I've been struggling with my log a little bit cause I lost the notes/template and 5/3/1 app content. Switched from iPhone4 to Samsung Galaxy S3. First android ever.

Friday 14Dec (no phone and I wasn't prepared so I accidently pushed the wrong weights)
5/3/1 C3W1 Press
5x25
5x30
5x35
5x40
5x45
6x52,5kg (should've been 47,5)

DB press 4x12x15kg
side lats 4x12x5kg
barbell curl 4x12x50lbs
preacher curl (forgot)

Monday 17Dec
5/3/1 C3W2 Deadlift
5x55
5x67.5
3x82.5
3x95
3x110
10x122.5kg (straps )

BOR 2x12x70lbs, 2x12x80lbs
Lat pulldown 4x12x"11"
Machine row 4x10x"16"
Hanging leg raises 4x12 (first time I thought this was easy)

Wednesday 19Dec
5/3/1 C3W2 Bench
5x40
5x50
3x57.5
3x67.5
3x77.5
11x87.5kg

Dips 12 12 12 7 (getting way stronger here)
Incline flyes 4x12x15kg
Triceps pushdown 5x20x"10" (3rd set failed at 15, 4th@13, 5th@14 - finished w "8")
Pushups 4 sets to failure 17 9 10 10 (little rest between sets)

Thursday 20Dec
5/3/1 C3W2 Squat
5X20
5X40
5X50
3X60
3X70
3X80
9X90kg (went a lot better after watching SS dvd again)

More squats 4X12x60kg
Leg curls 5X12x"9"
Leg extensions 4X10x"9" (god I hate this one)
Reverse crunches 4x25

I love that that 5/3/1 app indicates how many reps you need to hit to beat the calculated 1RM record from the previous week. Super motivating.

Re: Skinny to huge transformation log (5/3/1+BB+P90x)

FFS is it me or is my deadlift form terrible? I thought I was doing it fine for weeks now and that I finally felt the connection between my brain and my spine, using all of rippetoe's cues to the letter (except in the vid, cause im using straps there). Then I see myself in a vid and I'm like WTF is going on there? Although the reps "feel" good. Is it the vid angle, the stretchy border of my pants, or is my back really seriously rounded almost every rep? Or does it just look that way because of my hyperlordosis? Before every rep I try to squeeze tight (you can see it in the vid a little but I lose the tightness a bit when I start the lift). This is seriously as good as it gets for me using the cues. At least my trunk isn't starting off way first without moving anything else, like it used to. What should I do? I feel like my length has a lot to do with it, does that sound stupid?

Saturday 29 December 2012
5/3/1 C3W3 Deadlift
5x55

Overreacting imo. We had a thread about this exact same thing a long time ago.

I dunno, they look a bit shady, though not horrible, to me. Looks like your ass needs to a be little lower actually, though that might be the camera angle.

+1. Maybe really long legs or something too. Looks okay otherwise.

Deadlift: Your deadlift form looks okay to me. Now, I hear everybody else screaming at this point: "But his back's not flat!!!!!!!!!" Well, here's the deal - when a weight is heavy enough to constitute a max load, like a 5RM, something about your form will break down to cause the limit. Right? If nothing was wrong, you could do more weight, and it wouldn't be a limit set. In this case, the weight is heavy enough that your back is rounding under the load, but you're trying to hold it, doing the first 3 reps pretty well, and it's coming off the floor correctly, so I'd say that this was a good ~5RM set. If we insist of perfection of technique, we preclude the use of limit weights and thus limit out ability to get strong.

More pics of pecs or GTFO with these baby weight rounded deadlifts

..... They look okay. But I think as a fellow bodybuilder we have to be realistic about
Deadlifting. The HodgeTwins (our Gods) consider them to be unsafe and not worth the hassle. As someone who can't even get 315 off the floor, I am leaning towards agreeing with them.

Who will give up deadlifts first?

Loco +130
Syndrom -150

You are a slight favorite to give them up first. I have slight upper back rounding but that's more acceptable than slight lumbar rounding. Get your bets in.
