1700 today, so as long as I'm under 2k tomorrow this week is a success in my book.

Next week will probably be under for one simple fact - I have almost no weekend. Starting Wednesday, I work 13 of the next 14 days. Particularly towards the end of that stretch, which will include 8 straight days, I'm likely to be doing little other than sleeping and working, eating literally only in the couple of hours between when I get up and when I stagger back off to the grind.

I'm going to try to at least get in 1200 a day unless I'm really not hungry at all and get through this somewhat grueling work stretch, after which my days off will have shifted to Wednesday/Thursday and I'll probably be out of socks.

Also, for the curious, my pooping seems to still be around 4-5x a week now, which is a significant improvement from 1-2x.

Wow I can't even imagine pooping 1-2 x pw. Everyday girl here. Well done in the increase

I'm guessing you must not drink coffee. Coffee is like a laxative to me, or at least what I imagine a laxative to be like.

The laxative effect of caffeine only happens to like 30% of people according to an article I read.

I don't like coffee. I take caffeine tablets and drink diet soda.

I must be in that 30%, I guess. It could be all the half and half I put in there too.

1300 today.

Ordered some stuff to help keep me on track, most of it arrived today. This includes swim gear (goggles and suits, I only own one and it's old so it may not even fit correctly anymore), new sneakers (I just needed new sneakers, but obviously helps when it's warm enough to walk that I'm in proper footwear), and a fancy schmancy wi-fi scale. Plan is to weigh in daily and have graphs and general geekary.

For the record, when I stepped on to sync the scale this evening in full work outfit plus shoes, I was 144, so I'm guessing when I do my standard naked/first wake up weigh in I'll be somewhere in the 141 to 142 ballpark. Of which 5 I put immediately back on as soon as I added carbs back in, so my short little holiday with ice cream was probably 3-4 lbs of celebratory damage. I'll be back under 140 by the end of the month no problem and work on drifting down into the 125-130 range over the course of the next year.

If anyone is wondering "but what about Christmas," it's not a major concern as far as eating goes for the simple reason I work all of Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day with no real plans other than seeing my boyfriend for a standard date around that time. I'll go see my family the second week of January for a short mini-Christmas, if any damage is done it'll be then. My mom makes these chocolate iced cinnamon rolls that will definitely end up in my face hole. So ****ing good. And I only eat them once a year.

Great stuff RJ. Good solution to the overeating at Christmas problem.

How much diet soda do you drink per week?

I probably average 2 cans per day. Sometimes more when I'm sleep deprived.

I started this year around 170, so 30 pounds lost this year and as much as 90 from peak weight, which I don't know for sure.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a mini pig out during the holidays, it's not like it is an everyday thing. Chocolate iced cinnamon rolls sound the bomb!

I was wrong - I was sub 140 (139.8, I have decimals now!) with a "normal" weigh-in.

Need to lose the weight for real instead of it just being water weight (from the prop bet, I mean) but feeling pretty good about the progress from the bet and my ability to stay on track.

I'd be willing to do a friendly prop bet with you; trying to motivate to get down to the 180 range is going to be tough during the winter.

At first I thought it said "poop bet." That would have been quite the competition although I can't imagine anyone besting Monte, even his poop-ege.

I am in no position to challenge Monte now or ever for pooping supremacy.

What sort of bet did you have in mind? I don't really have an end date for getting down into the 125-130 range, just to get there slowly yet surely.

I don't know, just something friendly. We're both looking to lose 15 pounds, likely by summer time . . . me 180 you 125 by June 1st? We could do it for whatever amount of money you're comfortable with, or for charity. Just need an incentive for when I'm on the road.

Hmmm, so basically five months assuming the holidays are basically a wash.

Well, that would certainly give me an incentive to follow through on my plan to start swimming regularly in January. About how much were you thinking? I'd be fine with either payment to each other, or charity donation.

Whatever you did with EC is fine with me, if that works.

Our agreement was to pay each other if any payment changed hands, which it didn't. I had a month longer due to the fact my percentage of total body weight lost was higher, but 15 lbs over 5 months isn't that stringent (as opposed to 25 over 4).

Our bet was for $150 to reach goal and $150 to maintain until end of bet. Meaning if either of us got there early, you'd still have to make weight at the end date of the bet.

I'd prefer $100/$100 at most, trying to save up for something, although likelihood of another push seems fairly high.

How does all that sound?
