So you wanna tell me that you don't strive for zero? That is good. I would be sad if you would be just muscles with zero fat but dead.

Wanna give me a pointer to what do you think is healthy? I don't know.... somehow a link or even just a number what it is in your POV healthy level of body fat?

This is optimal obviously

That can't be optimal because there is no physical activity where the dude wouldn't perform better with less muscles and more body fat. I mean his thighs are in his own way like with very fat person.

I bet even lifting heavy things works better with more fat.

Have to substitute your picture with something I can better relate too.

I highly doubt 0%body fat is Gorilla's goal. That's like saying my goal is to weigh 0-50lbs.

Here's a photo of healthy/strong/athletic:

Those 20 min walks obv do a body good. Say "NO" to food that make me feel bad

There is no obsession with bodyfat around here. It's the complete opposite, people are fat as fack and don't give a fack.

My extensive research into bodyfat has led me to conclude that the optimal bodyfat percentage for men is about 15%. For women I will say 19-23%.

So out of all the people here, how many are optimal or lower?

Not joking, it's me gorilla montecore booktomarket and maybe one random. Women? Zero.

So I believe we have the opposite problem, the forum has an obsession with being fat. They do nothing about it. Now there is some research that you can be fat and healthy, but it requires exercise (cardio better). And nobody does cardio around here, walks do not count IMO.

With all this calories talk I want now to know how much I ate today.
I don't normally do calories counting.... But now I want to know. It is pretty weird what I ate today, but I think it is kind of average caloriewise for me.

1 egg -100 calories
500 g quark with reduced fat -350
120 g of ready strudeldough - 400
1 table spoon of jam - 50
1 table spoon of semolina -40
--------------------- That all was concocted to a healthy cheesecake. Yes I ate the whole cake except one piece. And yes it tastes good. I hate normally plain quark except in such cheesecake.

1 apple - 150

So all together 1100 ckal.

SgtRJ, Josie? I think they both look good and are reasonably fit. No idea how much body fat.

Nope, not me YET.

I have no idea what my body fat % is. I've never bothered with it, just focusing on getting scale ⬇️. Funny though, I have an appt on July 11th to get my body fat measured. I want a baseline because I'm definitely increasing my muscle mass now so body fat % would be useful to gauge progress that may not show on the scale.

The more I go to the gym, the worse my hanging skin looks. Dunno how that shiat gets tallied. I guess we shall see.

Not even close. They are both 30%. SGT probably 35% by now.

Don't take it the wrong way, just the realities of a fat world.

If you are happy with your body at 25-30% bodyfat then I suggest adding cardio 3x a week. It's quite simple, actually.

With the skin....

Have you tried to invest some time in skin care. I mean probably you can't make it completely super good. But if you can improve the situation a little for cheap.....

Something like this
https://myawesomebeauty.com/homemade-body-wraps/

Basic idea is to put some stuff on your skin then wrap around tightly with foil, then sit under the blanket drink cool tea and do something relaxing for half an hour. I personally make yogurt-honey, or rye flour with some water and olive oil as stuff to go under the foil.

I mean don't expect miracle, but cost and time investment are so low that you can just try it.

Tx. I appreciate the advice. I have no idea how much I have as body fat, but I definitely have a lot of cardio.

I think both Bustos are in good form. I have seen pictures of EV and Monte. Both are definitely not fat. When I see Monte I immediately think that this dude needs to be fed ASAP.

I don't want to do anything right now. All good reasons for that:
- It is to hot outside to do anything else than hang in front of the internet
- my bike is broken
- The only swimming pool in my area is overfull right now

Why that all is BS
- Heeeee? Really? In front of the internet? Your computer gets hot. You don't have AC in your apartment. Outside is so much nicer. And on top you are totally failing on your commitment to spend every day two hours outside. Today is an opportunity to actually do it.

- Yea yeah yeah. That your bike is broken you can tell all this guys on the internets. I and you know that your actual racing bike is in perfect condition. So just don't try to BS me.

- It is almost 5 PM. The peak concentration of people in the swimming pool is over. So just go.

Go and DO SOMETHING. STOP THIS SWAMPING AROUND THE INTERNETZ. GO go go.....

She has convinced me.

How often do you lie to yourself?

I do it pretty often. In a grocery shop when I see some kind of chocolates I like, I go:" I can buy it and have it home to have a piece once in a while". It is obvious lie. I can't remember last time a box of pralines survived longer than two days in my household. The moment I am truthful with myself, I just don't buy this chocolate. It comes actually pretty easy to me. I just don't buy it, I don't obsess about it, it doesn't haunt me. But if I lie to myself and buy it, then I am in deep trouble.

Just managed to be truthful with myself about certain kind of pralines that called my name in a grocery shop.

I have again a box of bakery stuff in my kitchen. Again not wanted gift.

How do I get rid of it? Probably will take tomorrow to work. If someone has any other ideas except throwing away please share.

How do I signal to a giver in a nice way that it is not really wanted?

"Thank you but I'm training for a triathlon and not eating sugar right now. I'm sure someone else would love them because they look delicious. Thank you for thinking of me."

Shiat like that.
