Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
Weight: 185
Very pleased, just trying to maintain until I get back to school for another cutting phase.
Squat: 3x5 @ 280
Finished it, but the last rep was quite a huge struggle, form broke down quite a bit. Unless anyone seriously disagrees I think one more repeat is a good idea.
Press: 3x5 @ 145
Felt great, as it should; I reset at 155/160 before.
Deadlift: 1x5 @ 315
YEAAAA 3 45lb plates baby! Felt amazing, was kinda disappointed I only got to do 5 reps. Unfortunately I won't be able to deadlift for 2 weeks (and workout at all for ~1.5 weeks), but this will be documented and pondered later.

Nice, three plates is pretty damn cool. If your "not being able to workout at all" issue is because you can't get to a gym, you should deadlift small cars so as not to lose strength.

Well here's the deal. Going to Israel from January 5th to the 16th, and with traveling it's really the 4th to the 17th. So that'll be I think exactly 6 workout days that I miss. But I'll try to bench and squat some Jews in my free time

LOL. Use the time to rest up and try to stay on your diet as best you can. Do you have family out there?

Nah it's just for fun + sightseeing pretty much. There will be some hiking and lots of traveling though so I'll definitely be active.
Question though... what's the strategy for when I come back? Do I try where I left off? Drop 5 lbs on each exercise? Treat it like the "first workout" and see where the bar starts to slow down?

You really shouldn't lose too much strength and it will be very temporary. I would start with whatever you would of if you didn't go on vacation. If you happen to fail a few reps on the first set drop the weight down.

Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
Squat: 1x5, 1x4, 1x2 @ 280
Pretty poor performance there. Drank a bit last night so I'm thinking/hoping that dimished my energy levels today.
Bench: 1x5 @ 235, 2x5 @ 230
Since I was feeling weak today I moved down to 235 instead of attempting 240. Barely made the first set of 235 so I then moved down to 230 which I barely made.
Chin-ups: 10, 10, 9
One more rep than last time, which I'm very pleased with. Endurance seems to be much less affected by drinking than strength...
Taking a vacation soon anyway so gonna get through my Monday workout. I might reset squats and bench when I come back though, we'll see how Monday goes and how I feel when I come back.

Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
Aaaaaand we are back... I decided to take it really light and reset on just about everything because I'm on like <2 hours of sleep and ate ****** and slept minimally for the majority of the vacation.
Squat: 255
Was actually pretty tough, so I'm glad I reset. Will do 260 next time.
Bench: 215
Cake. 220 next time.
Pull-ups: 8, 8, 8
Very pleased, that's a pull-up PR. Hoping to get that caught up to my chins.

Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
Solid day today, I guess I really didn't lose much strength, Monday was just ****** from tremendous lack of sleep. Also got videos for the first time of squat and deadlift, will be posted shortly.
Weight: 186
Totally fine since I just want to maintain for the rest of this week and I ate a lot in Israel.
Squat: 255
Repeated this because I switched my form to a low bar form. I was doing some weird low bar/high bar hybrid before; mostly a low bar in the lower body but the bar was closer to my neck. New form felt fantastic though, moving up next time.
Press: 145
Repeated because I haven't done it in weeks, felt good though, moving up.
Deadlift: 315
Repeated because I haven't done it in weeks. Felt ok, kinda sloppy, but definitely good enough to move up.

Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
Squat: 260 (+5)
Bench: 220 (+5)
Chin-ups: 10, 8, 8
Was kind of in a rush, so I didn't take enough rest for chin-ups and the reps dropped.
Also, I got my fish oil today, and my bro will be choosing a really good multivitamin for me and it will be shipped to me at school within the next week I hope.
On a related note, once I get back to school tomorrow I will be starting a new diet. It's gonna be pretty extreme, eating <1000 cals a day. Say what you want, but I think the losing lbm thing happens less often than people say, I care much more about losing fat asap than maximizing how much weight loss is fat, and I'm also young and can afford to experiment a bit. So wish me luck.

Re: SAW Gets RIPPED! (SS / HIIT log)
You come off your heels in the squat video. Squatting in tennis shoes does not help. Your stance is also pretty wide.
In the deadlift video, your stance is way too wide it looks like. Also your hips are too low to start off with and you are too far away from the bar. All this creates a bar path that is not straight. I think all this could be fixed with a better initial set-up. Eating 1k cals while doing compound lifts is just lol. You go to Israel on Birthright?
