Not a great food day.. poor planning while at home.. its hard when I'm not in control of the shopping.. though thats a bit of a cheap excuse, poor discipline would be more specific.

20mins rolling
Sprint training- lateral agility workout.. didn't do the serpentine stuff, focused on learning the crossover.
HIIT- 3x7x25yard sprtins, 1:2 work:rest ratio.

Throwing, 30mins
Meditating, 5mins.

Thursday 13th

Was sensible during the day, then went to Brixton pickup, threw alot and played games for a while.. then it became apparent me and the gf, of 3 years, who I live with, were about to finish.. so i ate a massive pizza, drank quite a bit of beer, and ate lots of Cookie Dough icecream.. which is ofc a completley reasonale response imo..

Today.. more feeling sorry for myself.. went out and threw for a while, did some ab wheel rollouts, dips, pullups, rolling.. legs a bit sore from PU, and have got training 2mo so didn't do anything lower body.

more time for training [tho fewer "throwing with gf" entries. tbh I was always a little suspicious about them]

ok so I've agreed to play and captain the team for a tournament on 1/2July.. to prepare for this, I'll be getting my body ready by cutting out the sugar foods, counting cals, daily weigh ins, only drinking while out on a date/social thing..

In terms of workout, will be doing alot of the anti-injury stuff I had been doing earlier in the year, and lots of the single leg stuff.. Will be doing my sprint form training and HIIT sessions twice a week.. and will throw as often as possible, probably like 3/4x per week.

Most important getting over my mental block.. will be doing a short meditation session every day to help quiet my mind, and should help me hone my visualisation skills.. will finish the book about Sports slump busting.. and will be attending games and pickup sessions to get my confidence back.

Back to daily logging, first weigh in tomorrow.. spoiler alert, I'm fat.

2x4x12yard sprints for speed, 1 set 3 point start, 1 set falling start

HIIT- 3x6x25yard sprints, 30secs to sprint, 1min rest between each.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned. I checked the OP and first and last pages, but didn't see it.

How old are you and how tall are you? How do you think your athletic performance is as of right now? And what do you think are your two biggest remaining obstacles to going to Worlds?

Hi Rapini

I'm 29, 6'0.
I've taken the last 6 months mostly off.. partly because of personal reasons, partly because low confidence meant I wasn't enjoying the game very much.. so right now my athletic performance would be extremely poor..
Biggest obstacles; high level experience and throwing ability

Thanks for the response.

Keep at it. There's never a tougher time than right when you're getting back into fitness stuff. It's gonna take 30-60 days for you to shake off the cobwebs, but persevere. Best of luck.

HIIT- 3x6x25yard sprints, 1:2 work;rest ratio.. pretty sore lungs afterwards but not as bad as I thought.. (didn't puke, yay!)

Todays macros were a little off coz I need to make myself get up earlier in the mornings to have an omelette for breakfast, which sets me up nicely for the rest of the day, and has great macros.. couldn't manage it today.. try again tomorrow, trying to go to bed earlier, guess its just about readjusting, getting back into the routine.
