not a good food day, pretty classic hungover diet of greasy pizza, chicken nuggets for lunch.

Did lots of throwing in the morning, Brixton training, still working on the flick issue.. had it back for a while, then lost it again.. then we were throwing hucks was completing them no problem.. wtf.. Maybe a sports pyschotherapist is the answer..

Did a breakmark drill, Then played Pickup, was a classic hungover performance, I was out of breadth after not doing a lot, lazy on defence, doing the minimum on O.. still completed a couple of sexy hucks, one backhand one flick.. and during the game I had to throw a short flick which came off fine..

Throwing, 30mins with gf, think my flick problem is 90% solved, was fine today.

Sprint form drills;
marching, bounding, skipping, upoutdown,

2x4x10yard sprints for speed.

Crossover progression, then 3x5x 5-10-5 shuttle
Finally starting to see/feel the benefits of this, and its coming to me a little more naturally now.

Conditioning;
3x7x25yard shuttles, 1:1.5 work:rest ratio.

Went to Fire.. one of my heroes, the top player on the Irish team was there, apparently he's just moved to London, so that was quite cool.

I played ok, my movement is getting better every week, and defence is getting more intense and better, which is good.. again, my throwing was notably the weakest point in my game.. i felt like the flow of my team stopped whenever I got the disc, as I just didn't have the confidence to look upfield and huck it or throw a break.. so I guess its good to have a clear target to work on, its a full 4 weeks before the next open session, so throwing everyday between now and then should make a big difference.

Had a pretty average day, 2400cals.. then went out for dinner with gf as she's leaving for 3 weeks 2mo, had some olives, calamari, a calzone, half a slice of cake, a beer.

30mins throwing with gf.

Not a good food day.. though none of it was cake/chocolate, so thats a win.

Had a long throwing session alone, started off focusing on the basic, narrow pivot, emphasis on completing a pass, then started to work on wider pivots, then practised putting a fake in first.. I think the faking and wide pivoting is gonna be huge, I've never actually worked on that before, which sounds stupid, but now I have I can already start to feel the benefit, getting more balanced, confident and smoother discs coming out. Then threw some hucks.
About an hour, then came home and did a couple of skater squats on left leg to try address imbalances.

9 day streak of project TED

Friday 16th.. somehow had 6k cals?!!

Was a pretty normal day, apart from a couple of chocolates and cake from staffroom table, amounting to ~500cals.. when got home, had a big pizza, chicken nuggets, cake, beer..
What brought on this cheat day/meal? Not sure, been feeling super tired lately, with school, think that was a factor in will power eroding..

Went out throwing before this huge meal, 45mins, did a little bit of 1fake and throw, mostly just basic throwing from a set position.

This morning went to the gym for first time in ages.. finding it hard to get there during the week after a daily throwing session.. conditioning is pretty easy coz you're already out there and warmed up..

Anyway, did;
Donkey kicks
Single leg hip lifts
KB swings- 24kg
Vertical hopnstick
Single leg DL, 16kg
Stir the pot
Pullups, 5,8,8
Skater squats
DB seated OHP- 24kg
RFE split squats, 3x8x24kg DBs

The top team in UK, and Europe, just announced theirvtrials will be in March.. I sent them an application coz why not.. but thinking about it, if I was in similar physical shape to their top guys.. and I just about am.. and I keep working really hard at improving throwing.. id obv be missing high level experience, but it wouldnt be a hhuuuggeee stretch for them to take me.. sth to ponder

Didnt feel like myself today, not sure exactly, bit tired, rundown, short of breath, felt like I was gonna vomit when I got up this morning.. so didnt do my sprints, took a rest day

Over an hour throwing, focus on throwing a nice distance lead pass.. backhand looking good, flick needs work..
Also threw 40 hammers, scoobers, lefties, high release BH and flick

7 day throwing streak

Friday 30th

2309cals, 151g carbs, 98g fat, 195g protein

30mins rolling
Yoga table
Vrrtical hopnstick
Plank
Skater squats

An hour throwing, today was focusing on faking and pivoting.. did an extra set for flick only, backhand seems a little stronger.. the toughest thing about these is a) keeping your balance, b) adjusting for the wind, which is easy to do when youre throwing from a comfortable position, but after a couple of fakes and pivotz its ezy to lose focus and forgdt the necessary adjustments to be made in different winds..

Some left leg lunges to address imbalances

A few sprint form drills, some crossover progressions

Then conditioning, 3x7x25yard sprints, 1:1 work rest ratio, feeling much fitter now, can recover pretty quickly from these sprints

8 day TED streak

Probably no throwing 2mo coz im travelling back to London and will be going to a NYE party straight away

An hour throwing in the rain, that sucked.. today was focusing on wide pivoting.. coz I missed yday, I really noticed today how sharp my throws are.. I guess the only problem with TED is you're throwing so frequently you don't really notice the improvements, or how much better or sharper you're becoming..

Some left leg only pivots to address imbalances
