Felt pretty good. Not too hard. Haven't recorded squats in forever so here is a video of Set 1 I think. Sorry you can't see my feet, it was raining outside so I couldn't move the camera out too far:

I can get lower on some of my earlier reps especially. I watched this before doing set 2 and pretty sure I got lower on all reps for my final 2 sets.

Man I feel like **** today. Off day but I don't see myself lifting tomorrow. I thought last night I had food poisoning but I don't think that's it. Think I got some virus. Maybe flu or mono. I had mono for 3 weeks 15 years ago and I feel the same as I did back then. Very similar symptoms. Probably go in tomorrow to see what I have.

But yeah, deadlifting 280 isn't going to happen. Just walking around the house has me breathing heavy. All I've eaten all day is 3 chocolate donuts. But no appetite.

Went to doc yesterday negative for flu but he said I must have a "food virus". Haven't eaten much at all in the last couple days. Just no appetite. Forcing myself to drink water though.

This ****ing sucks. Gonna lose a lot of strength. I don't see myself lifting until Friday or so, and it's probably going to be a weak effort.

-3.9 pounds in 4 days.

Gonna be SHREDDED BRAH. Have to hit up the beach this weekend even if it's cold and nobody is there.

Still no real appetite. Probably eating maybe 1,000 calories a day. Nuts, crackers, bananas, fruit snacks, etc. lol @ this emaciation. This is the lightest I've been in probably 4 years or so? Maybe more.

FWIW, an illness like this jumpstarted my 40 lb cut a few years back, so don't knock it. And you probably didn't get that much weaker, if at all, so don't worry too much about it and get back to lifting when you can.

All of your strength losses will be temporary due to your central nervous system being shot. Probably didn't lose any muscle, but 1,000 calories is really low. Hard to get over a sickness when you're not getting enough calories.

Tonight was the first real meal I had since Saturday night. So basically 4 days between legit meals. It was a large one, though. A big chicken burrito bowl with some chips and queso. Probably 1,000-1,200 calories or so.

So hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more normal.

Well, that was a long stomach bug, but it's finally over!

OK seriously... I dropped like 4 pounds and felt all weak so when I got my hunger back I said I'd pig out for a couple days and feel stronger again then get back to working out and that just never happened.

Sucks because iirc my last squat workout I felt like something clicked physically and they felt great, and my deadlift was starting to get legit and I was getting comfy with the straps.

I'm all fat now I weigh like 211 and some change. So I gained 14 pounds in 4.5 months. Yeah buddy.

My wife is off for the summer starting next week and her and I are going to try to lift together and eat better. She's kind of skinnyfat. Only needs/wants to lose about 5 pounds but wants some recomposition. I would like to get back to around 200 and stronger like I was. At least this time I can take a "before" pic, though it won't be as bad as when I was 222.9. My wife and I have worked out before and she has no problem doing squats and bench since she played HS sports.

I'm trying to get her to eat normally this week and start get into the habit of tracking her calories, mostly to have a baseline view of what her typical week looked like once she starts actually eating well. And I want her to get started on tracking without the pressure of eating right, since this week is already busy/stressful for her.

So starting next week I will hopefully starting logging ITT again. My 5th iteration or so.
