Twist: Soulman has blown up to 160kg and is actually wildebeast trying to lose weight before his wedding. It's plausible. They're both from Germany.

A bit too far-fetched IMO but if this somehow means that snitch fanfic saga continues, sure, I'll allow it.

Pretty impressive results from your UD2.0 cut Pummi. I thought you hinted somewhere around the end of that cut that you were considering UD2 for mass gains at some point. Did you ever or will you ever go down that road?

That seems like a spectacularly bad idea. You're on a surplus and want to punish yourself? Whyyyyyyy. Pummi even likes/makes good food, makes no sense.

Sure, but anyone who went on a cut and punished themselves in that manner must surely get some sort of gratification from destroying themselves in the name of gainzzz? You (SM) and Syn were others who survived a UD2 cut? Seems pretty gnarly to me but seemed to be pretty effective in this case. I'm on recomp for life plan as this stuff is far too advanced for me but was curious about the UD2 gains side of the equation.

I do certainly find the idea of UD-tarding while on surplus intriguing.
Maybe it'd be the key that fits the lock of the door that leads to the mythical lean gains?
Or at least hinder the fat gains.
I mean, all I've gained during this 'bulk' of mine is lard. 100%.

Anyway, I'm so damn busy with life right now, that I can't even find time to think about it, let alone do it.
I'm gonna give it a go, somewhere down the road.

I guess, re: bolded. Pummi has shown more dedication than 99% of the forum for getting shredded. The lean bulk still seems to elude him though.

And I wouldn't say I've completed an UD 2.0 cut, iirc the longest I stayed on it was 4 weeks. It's not that hard to follow imo (though the depletion workout I followed in the book which was ~double the volume he actually recommends were very punish), but very unforgiving about life events since it's so strict.

It does indeed look like you might need some external structure to avoid lard gainz, so there's that. On the other hand, enjoying life and not being a BB-er.

Why would you want to do a 1RM test shortly after sickness? Seems like a good way to get disappointed.

Given your success with the UD2 cut I'd be super curious to see how you make out on a UD2 bulk. Good chance there is a bit o gains nestled in there with the lard! 90% tops.

The restricted cals plus depletion workout(s) plus the carb load all sound brutal to me. It has to take a lot of planning to get things right I imagine and must really mess with living life. Good on anyone for making it through four weeks. I figure Pummi who did it for like a year or something will be forum ud2 bulk champ one day.

It is pretty brutal and requires some planning, sure. For random fatty I think compliance would be super low, but that's not the target audience. The "mess with living life" is ultimately what dooms UD 2.0 for me. Other, more flexible approaches can handle social events better, with results that aren't much worse. I dropped to my target weight last year by just eating less with a very light IF approach. Revolutionary stuff.

I admire Pummi for being able to stick with UD 2.0 for so long. That, plus pity him for his sad life in the cold Finnish forests of course.

Hey, that's why I said 'maybe'!
Anyway, feeling pretty good already.
Pretty sure I'll stick to the plan. Or not.

10/90 LBM/fat -ratio would be splendid at this point.
The more I think about, the more I like it.
Well, like the idea of doing it anyway.

It's not that bad/hard IMO.

You and your warm and cozy norwegian forests

Speaking of forests, though, or well, about trees, anyway. Here's one for you:

Spoiler:

Man, I loved that tree. RIP.
Snapped in half like loco's spine in an attempt of squatting 2 plates a side.
Granted, It was fairly windy, though.
Plus I got to wave my axe for a reason, which is always nice.
