I have the S2. I accidentally launched about a pound of steel 4-5 feet at a decent rate of speed, directly onto the screen. It put a couple surface scratches on the face, but you can't see it when the phone's on.

****'s durable. It's that gorilla glass.

If you guys had to take a sports economics class what would you want to learn? Besides game theory stuff.

I'd be interested in whether spending the extra money to win championships pays off financially, or whether you make more by being just good enough not to drive away your fanbase (thus saving a ton on payroll).

NASCAR. There are teams that survive financially by having a very limited amount of equipment and expenditures, qualify and drive around for a few laps on race day, then park. How can a sport reward a team or individual that never has any intention of trying to win?

I've had mine over a year, no idea how it's not destroyed. I broke 4 iPhones when I had them (got my first on launch day of the OG, had different versions til I got the S2).

How long are you resting between sets?

I'm not sure why game theory would specifically be in a sports economics course. Apart from that I'd like to read about economic impact of sports franchises vis a vie their claims when trying to get public financing for stadiums, even though I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

The minimum effort I could put in to achieve an A.

It's for in game strategy mostly. It's easy to set up a quick 2x2 normal form game and just do {pass, run} {defend run, defend pass} and have students solve for the equilibrium.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys, I'm teaching it in the spring and the way it's taught is pretty boring and weakly related to sports IMO. I'd definitely like to make it an upper level class where you tackle actual problems like financing of stadiums (usually ends up badly for the city IIRC), how much a win actually costs, whats more valuable for producing wins in terms of player stats, or even union/labor stuff.

JonFonDue was tellin me how he OD'd on brazil nuts or something. So please, stay safe.

What freaks me out about JonFon not being named Johnny is that far as I can tell JonFon isn't a character or anything. It's like a totally original name, and I feel like I need the back story.

Brazil nuts are delicious. And remind my of how racist I was raised

Any S3 people got any recommendations for cases? I don't want a stupid huge wallet case or anything. But I need something for this thing and I can't really see anything I like.

You should break down the NHL lockout and have the students calculate how much the owners need to squeeze out of the players to make up the revenues of a lost season. Then introduce the variable of a lockout hurting fan enthusiasm and thus future ticket/merchandise sales.

You could also talk about game theory in free agent acquisitions (i.e. the Yankees spending more, thus forcing the Red Sox to spend more to keep up).

ROCK Quicksand case in dark grey (some shops call it black) AINEC. I bought this one after hours of browsing and it makes the phone even more beautiful imo. It also has this matte sandpaper-like rough texture which feels very good in the hand and leaves no fingerprints or grease whatsoever. Not like plastic at all. And the fit is amazing.

About S3 vs iPhone5 it all just comes down to the OS. Reviews always focus on the hardware and the speed which I think is stupid. If you want Android, buy the Samsung. If you want iOS, buy the 5.

Also Volvo is possibly the most underrated car brand in the universe.

Lifeproof for iPhones. Especially if you have a history of dropping your phone in the drink like me.
