Dem genez on elite level athletes is very true, supposedly D Howard can bench 345 or 365 with LLLLOOOONNNGGG arms.

D Howard bench press video. I don't have the sound here at work so not sure what he has on the bar.

yeah, there is zero chance that's 405. I dont know what DH can bench, but I'd bet money its way less than what N Pekovic can do after seeing him push DH around like a rag doll. PEK says he can bench ~360 and I do believe that.

I've dropped the S3 a few times without a scratch but I guess you'd be dropping it from like a foot higher so...

The phones are comparable imo but there are some things I really like about the S3 that are mostly preference. I think if you're not already sucked into Apple and have no interest in doing so, Galaxy is the way to go.

Yeah gonna go with ~185 on the bar there for Dwight Howard.
12-27-2012 , 04:33 PM
So does anybody else get the urge to scream "**** YEAH, ****ING ****" then spike a football or something after doing a heavy squat? That's normal right?

Too bad I'd look like an insane person if I actually did that.
12-27-2012 , 04:36 PM
I get that urge after heavy Deadlifts more than Squats. With Squats, just happy I didn't die.
(not that I've lifted anything I'd call "heavy" in years)

You just jelly that he's in the 99.999999999th percentile of height for all humans ever.

You're forgetting that you already look like an insane person, in their eyes, for doing full ROM squats.

Heavy is definitely relative in this context. What is heavy for me certainly wouldn't be for someone who was actually strong.

Much more likely.

If the number was respectable/big, his trainer there would have said it.

I think I've seen those bumper plates at a gym. Looks like 10lb spacers sandwiched between two 25s. Then I guess they added iron 25s. I'm gonna go with 165 warmups and 215 on the last set.

DH got 7 reps of 185# in 2004. I think he's a little stronger now.

12'3" touch with a runup. Pretty sick.

Those of you who like SwiftKey should make sure to check out the SwiftKey 3 Beta, which has the option to do Swype-ish stuff. Personally there were some changes they made between SwiftKey 2 and SwiftKey 3 that upset me and made the keyboard less useable for me, but meh. I just got a new phone and I'm giving Swype another shot, we'll see how it goes, I guess.

As a side-note, moved from a phone that was stuck on Gingerbread (HTC Thunderbolt) to one with Jellybean, and holywow what an improvement. I haven't even considered using any of my old calendar/mail/etc widgets because the stock ones are so much better than what I'm used to.
12-27-2012 , 06:11 PM
I really hated Swype when I tried it, and I gave it a good shot.

C, I think you asked me about the Thunderbolt on FB a couple of years ago or so when I first got it. I would like to retroactively change my review to "Stupid POS". I've really grown to hate this phone. If I influenced you at all to get it, I'm sorry.
12-27-2012 , 06:16 PM
I think I didn't like Swiftkey because of some capitalization issues.

I use Swype and like it in general, but it's often aggravating. Perhaps I'll force myself to use Swiftkey to let it grow on me.

I know it has to be a little challenging when every other word has to be changed or bleeped, but the edits to these songs were especially horrible. Would have been better just to have a bunch of bleeps imo.
I've listened to Long Live A$AP 16 times in the last four days... I think I've got a ****in problem. The title track, Train, and Suddenly are painfully good. But yeah, 2K13 (the NBA video game for all you old people) has Mercy, which is so unbelievably edited it's not even really a song anymore. Thankfully you can turn off songs (yes I really want to hear the I'm a Boss instrumental every 30 minutes...).

maybe it's just cuz i'm older now, or i'm not eating and sleeping enough, but damn am I sore.

yeah, rumors around the net say DH's benched anywhere from 345x1 to 365 for reps. BS imo.

This would make sense imo. I think he cant bench over 300.

Any opinions on Brazil nuts? They have higher saturated fats than most nuts, lots of selenium, but I'm already probably nearish to the suggested daily limit.

I have just been eating almonds but am thinking about adding Brazil nuts and walnuts now. Best to mix all 3, just walnuts/almonds, or just almonds?

So I'm in the middle of the third part of smolov squat and feel I'm being trolled by the program. I guess I set a pretty good 1rm after the first part (395) and maybe that has hindered my progress? Breezed through parts 1-2 and didn't fail any reps. I failed last week (week 2 of part 3) on days 1 and 3 and this week its pretty much lol, calling for 5x5 90%.. I can't even do one set of 5, maybe 3 or 4 if I'm feeling good.. And looking forward to the third day 3x4x95%. I'd be shocked if I could do one set of 2 at 95%.

So what do I do? Restarting would be so demoralizing.

Best thing about Android: Driving mode
Worst thing about Android: Not knowing about it when you're texting dirty in front of your family.

iPhone 5 is so nub. Get the S3.

<<<has had 3 iPhones

CR, that was the best post I've ever seen. I just got my monitor pregnant. Good call on crazy eyes. Girl brings up marriage uh.. a lot.

Sleep isn't an issue, I get plenty. Been eating a little more, bodyweight has remained stable over the course of the program. Previously I had always trained for 1RM etc. Never did many sets > 3 reps. Thinking maybe that has something to do with it? I get pretty winded during those minute long grinder sets of 5+.
