Man Chipotle really sucks. I mean, they are Atlanta Falcons level frauds. Just the blandest foods that are not Mexican, nothing with jalapeños, no mexican/spanish rice, guacamole is extra, but at least the refried beans are.... oh wait.

Man whoever likes Chipotle is clueless. I go there like once a year, probably because it's one of the few places here open late and I need to remind myself why I don't go there often. Imadbro.jpg

Saying chipotle is awesome is like saying Subway is a great place to get sandwiches
12-11-2012 , 02:18 AM
Whoa, thats over the line JonFon. Nothing is as bad as people that say Subway is a great place to get sandwiches. NOTHING

An unusual amount of negativity invoked from me by Chipotle is surprising.

In other news -

I went shopping for stocking stuffers for the family today (killed it, ldo) and grabbed a few different dark chocolate with sea salt candy bar variations because I've been wanting to try and can always steal the stuffers. On checkout they had little single serving size squares of the dark chocolate + sea salt squares and omg omonomonomonomon

chipotle's ingredients are significantly better than those of most ~$10 fast food places. I don't think anyone goes there thinking, "wow this is really super authentic Mexican food, they probably couldn't do it any more authentic in Mexico!!!11". it's basically the best big chain fast food, somewhat healthy, $10 carb/protein/veggie-having meal you can get imo.

p.s. I believe the green salsa has jalapeno in it but I could be wrong.

p.p.s. how late is it open near you? if it's later than 10pm I may be moving there soon.
12-11-2012 , 02:42 AM
Nah just 10pm I think but here in redding just about everything closes before jeopardy on weekdays

Plus I might be spoiled living in CA with how much significantly better any Mexican food here is for, at most, the same price.

Fast tho I guess its ok

while we're talking about food, is 13g of sugar too much for a small serving of oatmeal (like 150 calories total - not sure if that's relevant)?

well said, but maybe Houston Texans level frauds instead. They don't even sell breads.
12-11-2012 , 02:53 AM
Haha! I actually typed out Houston Texans and changed it to Atlanta but yes agreed

13g of sugar doesn't seem like a lot (isn't there over 40g in a can of coke?) but then again 150 calories of oatmeal sure isn't very much.

1/3 calories from sugar? Seems meh but not awful
12-11-2012 , 03:04 AM
do the Texans even lift?
12-11-2012 , 03:24 AM
I've been toying with an idea for a skit involving how teams came up with their names.

A: I've acquired the rights to an NFL franchise. It will be in Houston. What should I call it?
B: Where is Houston?
A: Uh... Texas
B: You could be the... Texans?
A: I will double your salary

C: An NBA team in Portland will be great! What should we call them? What do people think of when they think of Oregon.
D: Trees?
C: The Portland Trees... Hmmm.... nah
D: Rain?
C: The Oregon Rain... Nice ring to it, you're getting closer.
D: The Old Oregon Trail?
C: Old... Oregon... Trail.. Trail...... The trail blazers!!!!

Etc

Sharkey's Power Plate with double grilled veggies is the best (and healthiest) $10 chain fast food meal.
(I have no idea if Sharkey's exists outside of CA)

Rolling improves DOMS. Stretching is fairly useless, but rolling will help. Roll that day, and roll pre-workout for optimal pain relief. Or just BE A MAN WOOF WOOF *THUMPS CHEST*

Certified good guy Jim Steele suddenly decides to compete in a BB show. Inspirational work ethic at display here for sure, whether you <3 or hate BBing. I'm adding cardiotarding to my routine. Fack your EPOC loco, BBers have always tarded when dropping weight.

so did weighted dips (3x7 with 35lbs strapped to my waist - tried to ease into it) on Friday and yesterday my snatch sucked ass, just like clockwork. Guess that ends my experiment with not getting a concave chest while oly limping.

It had the reverse effect. I got really butthurt about it and stopped coming here. Probably just an excuse and I need to develop thicker skin.

I just can't stick to a program. I keep wanting to do SS but I have this cursed cycle of starting out carefully, then gaining confidence and eventually re-injuring my back and then it´s back to square one. I've considered skipping squat/deads/cleans entirely but it feels like I'm not doing any real work and I lose motivation. I don't really know what an effective program would look like with no squats involved.

I did some swimming for a while but it gets boring fast. And I can't do sports anymore because of my back and lately my knee has been acting up. It even hurts sometimes when walking up steps now although I'm sure it would get better if I got off my ass and exercised.

tldr:
crybaby gonna crybaby.

SS isn't cool anymore, we all do something like this now when losing BF:

Then don't follow a program. Just ****ing do something. Something is infinitely better than nothing, even if it is P90X.
12-11-2012 , 09:45 AM
I need a program, otherwise I just do something random and half-assed which always leads to me giving up. Yes I know I gave up on SS too, but I stuck with it longer than anything else (besides when I played squash).

I also have this ocd need to feel like what I'm doing is optimal to really get into it.

I'm gonna hit the faq for inspiration.
