Re: ****Official Beginner Question Thread****
here my predicament
im well built, can bench 80kg, can bicep curl bout 18k etc, nice outline of abs
im above average fit, can run a 3.15min km, have run 15km recently
my diets not amazing, im a student so im goin out drinkin heavily 2-3 times a week, but i cut out fast food and junk food, gettin in all my veg and fruit regularly
my problem is although i have a well built upper body, my lower body carries a higher relative body fat % to my upper body.
so whats the best way goin about reducing my body fat % of my arse and thighs??
cardio, squats, deadlifts etcc???

Re: ****Official Beginner Question Thread****
You can't spot reduce fat. Sounds pretty unusual for a male to keep a lot of body fat in the lower body, but alright. You need a caloric deficit to reduce fat. I'm assuming you care about nothing but aesthetics and don't want more muscle mass.

80kg is not a great bench so I doubt you have a very well built upper body. You cannot spot reduce fat, only reduce it everywhere. Genetics I am afraid.

Sounds like you need to ditch a **** ton of bro science from your mind and learn some basic stuff about nutrition and exercise.
www.bodyrecomposition.com --> articles is a good place to start.
Generally, hitting your caloric and macronutrition goals is way more important than nutritional timing. Adding muscle mass with no fat gain is pretty hard.

You're a noob to this stuff. You need to read the FAQ. You can't gain pure muscle.

Re: ****Official Beginner Question Thread****
I have a simple question regarding proportional muscle strength. Let's say you can curl ten lbs. What should be the amount you exercise for your triceps, delts and traps, respectively?

Re: ****Official Beginner Question Thread****
Do any of you guys get lightheaded or feel like you are going to almost pass out when you deadlift? On a set of 1x5x290 today I felt like I was kind of close to fainting lol. This lightheaded feeling has happened for the past 4-5 deadlifting sessions ever since the poundages have become pretty heavy for me. I try to utilize the valsalva maneuver of a big breath and then i hold it while i lift. On another note, I feel like I possibly could be good-morning-ing the DL in the beginning/back not as straight (but it is arched), i need to tape myself.

Possible level. If not, I don't think there is an answer to this man. All I can say is your triceps are a much bigger muscle then your biceps. And it is my honor to suggest to you to please read the FAQ, sounds like you need to get on SS pronto.
