How much do MTT grinders pull in? Surely $75k is enough of an incentive...

This would add to the entertainment, for sure! But the extra accountability might also work in their favor.

Yeah, gotta think 75K is a decent chunk of change to incentivize this. Maybe not though. Weird world we live in, I know a lot of fats that would manage to make a decent life change for a few k, let along seventy five.

Did YTF ever get a rate of 100lbs lost in a year?

I'm going to take my displaced anger out and deflect it on YTF. I'm coming to Minnesota with a trunk of miller lites and gas station muffins.

Seems like the brothers could be good coaches for each other. Fat bro prepares his meal then gives it to skinny bro and vice versa. That should handle the bulk of the weight loss/gain. Then it's just about manipulating the numbers at the end. In theory at least...

How much does it cost to get a gastric bypass?

Depends on your insurance, whether it's covered at all (in general), and, if so, whether it's deemed a medical necessity in your specific instance. And, even if you get it done, you still have to have the self control to not eat through it.

I'd probably try just eating less to start and avoiding having surgery for what, while a lot of money, is surely not lifechanging for him, but fats gonna fat, so who knows if he's considered it.

I think medical interventions were ruled out under the terms of the bet (ie drugs, surgery).

I have a guess which one isn't extremely motivated.

Word.

Even if they weren't, I don't really see how bypass specifically is worth the squeeze.

Going back to the cardio discussion: is something like hiit going to have very different results to something like a paced run?
***Official April LC thread*** Quote

My understanding is the paced run is actually superior for cardiovascular output but HIIT can be quite close especially if coupled with a standard 10 minute warmup/cool down (paced run) and occasional lengthy paced run. This makes hiit the superior time investment/reward for me--particularly since I *can* fit it into my routine.

With my lifting + hot yoga 6 days per week (and being old), I basically can't work in several lengthy cardio sessions, but I can tack on some quick HIIT/intervals at the end of lifting here and there with maybe one long run every week or two.

The actual health benefits of 'delivered' fitness are higher with HIIT then cardio, pretty sure studies have shown that.

But you can't train your body for distance running with HIIT. And (long) distance running is catabolic anyway.

Recently read in the comments section on the youtubes that this user had received increased lovemaking prowess due to channeling his hiit workouts in bed so yep, confirmed.

What are your goals? Age?

Also, define fairly lean. LOLBMI, but according to BMI, you're overweight.

What triggered this post? I'm guessing you were doing a certain activity and went damn I'm out of breath. What was it?

It looked cold & windy yesterday...not jelly (well, yes). Try one of those pimento-cheese sandwiches for $1.50?

To anyone that hasn't been before, I was fortunate to go through work years ago to a Monday practice round. Would highly recommend a practice round as you still see the course, are able to get closer to the players (less crowded) and see some fun stuff like skipping the ball across on #6 (?).

Their retail shop was probably the most efficient thing I've seen. Tons of cashiers and they were ready to pack & ship right on the spot. Saw a group of people buying boxes full and shipping them overseas.

I drove down to Augusta yesterday,
went to the tournament today. My dad went yesterday and said it was cold, windy and muddy. Today was great tho. I actually have been once before with my dad, in 2012 when Bubba won vs oosty. This time I went with a friend who had never been.

We spent most of the day on 11 green/12 tee box, 15 green and 18 green. All pretty elite spots. Highlights were McGirt and his playing partner both chipping in on 4. Couples almost holing out and birdying 18. One thing you don't notice on TV is how hilly the course is. I am wrecked from walking around and standing or sitting on crappy chairs for 12 hrs straight.

Beer prices are very fair, 4$ for a miller light. Food prices are ridiculously cheap, 1.50 to 3$ for a sandwich, a dollar for any snack. Pimento cheese is gross so no i did not have one of those, but what i did have was v good. And yeah the gift shop and service in general is awesome. Basically imagine Chikfila level service x2 for the whole golf course.

Honestly I think the whole prestige and etiqutte crap is pretty stupid. Im all for people getting rowdy and yelling mashed potato, but that and the immaculate condition of the course does give the place a certain magical feeling in the air.

Overall it is super amazing, although to me maybe not worth the 1k+ per ticket you would have to pay if you don't have tickets yourselves or a friend/company that will bring you. Especially since US open or PGA championship is like 100$ and your average tour stop is more like 50.

Tldr Golf is awesome. lol loco lol fbird

I heard about the pricing thing before, that's pretty cool. Unlike all other tour events where you get ripped off completely. How's the merchandise priced? Did you get any?
How did you get tickets, win the draw?

I'd love to go one day but agree probably not for that pricing so I'd have to get drawn.

Merchandise not too bad from what I remember, I'm not a shopper so only picked up a golf shirt and think it was only $40-50. Good quality and I still have it 8 or so years later.

I've seen that you can get ticket for Monday or Tuesday for maybe $200-300. Again I'd recommend that just to see the grounds. And oh my the hills, so much more pronounced in person than TV.

pretty expensive for merchandise now. I picked up a golf shirt for 80$, plus stuff for other people. You can easily spend hundreds or thousands in there.

My dad's parents actually won the ticket lottery ~40 years ago. We've have 2 tickets ever since then. I've just only been twice since they always get split between my dad and his siblings and friends before us lowly kids
