I've never seen this forum before! I am psyched to have a place with the unrelenting scrutiny of 2+2 to help me critique my workout and diet habits!
I think I have a decent workout that a friend and I put together, mostly with advice given in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. I am looking to stay lean but muscular; not too huge! I have it in an Excel spreadsheet and I'll post it when I feel like getting it off my laptop
My self proclaimed biggest problem is my diet. I have cut fast food out completely, but I hate cooking! So I am trying to find quick ways to make healthy meals. I rely heavily on protein shakes in my diet, especially Syntha-6, because they are quick and easy.
I'd like to start by getting some critique of the vitamin and supplement regimen I am currently using, any thoughts would be appreciated:
Muscle Milk - usually only take it during workout (mostly casein, should I not be taking it during? should I not be taking ANY protein during?)
BSN Syntha-6 - usually take this post workout (about 15-20 minutes after because I make it when I get home, is this too long?) and a couple other times during the day.
BSN NO XPLODE - Pre-workout
BSN Cell Mass - I only take this post workout; never before bed like the instructions say, thoughts? Am I getting enough glutamine just taking this once a day?
ZMA - before bed
CLA - I try to take 1 capsule 3 times a day.
Fish Oil - I try to take 1 capsule 3 times a day.
GNC MegaMen Multi - in the morning.
I don't take the same amount of protein shakes everday, it is something I am trying to work on. How many do you guys recommend? I go to the gym first thing in the morning. I am thinking of trying something like:
Syntha 6 - when I wake up (9am)
Syntha 6 - post workout (11am)
Muscle Milk - 3pm
Muscle Milk - 7pm
Muscle Milk - 12am (before bed)
