Not the nomzies, another plague brought about by the minicores, plus a business trip.

I'll be back at in on Monday.

Weight this morning: 204.8, so it seems that the opposite of the nomzies taking over ended up happening. The two week break did affect my stamina, though:

4/8
Press 3x10, 1x9, 1x7 x 100
Bench 3x10, 2x6x160
Machine Fly 2x15x110
Machine Rear Delt 2x15x75
Cable Crossover 2x15x25
Front/Side DB Raise 2x10x12.5
Pro Cable Pressdown 20/12x65
Sup Cable Pressdown 20/15x35
Stand BB Curl 2x15x55
Stand DB Hammer 12/10x20

It's going to take a week or two to get back to where I need to be, although I'm going to be in Jakarta for two weeks (leaving in a week and a half) so hopefully the hotel we end up booking has a decent gym.

One last brag: I won my fantasy hoops league last night 5-4 (H2H by categories), and the difference was me winning points scored by 2 even though I lost 5 games to injury this week. This is my fourth win in five years in this particular league, so it feels pretty sweet. I'm already looking forward to next year's draft . . .

DT is right -- kids are little disease incubators whose sole purpose in life (other than eating expensive formula and taking disgusting ****s) is coughing in your mouth and getting you sick. I was sick for a week, and then away on business the following week with no access to a gym. I'm a little disappointed that CB is leaving me in the dust, but I'll take solace in the fact that I (hopefully) look a little better in a European man thong than he does right about now.

I got seriously ill, vomiting and ****ting uncontrollably, right after I wrote that and my intenstines are still ****ed up two weeks later.

The irony is that I think it was other peoples' kids that got me sick, all because we took a family trip to the aquarium (srs tho never go to this place, even though it's cool it must be disease central).

Therefore this is an official statement that I, for one, welcome our new virus-robot overlords. See virus-robots? Don't hurt me. I am your friend.

Going to be driving through the 'napolis in a few hours. No pitstop, nothing to do.

Now that I am in Midwest, bread pudding out. Beer back in.

Sounds like the norovirus I had a few months ago; on the plus side, it did jump start my weight loss.

My kids are still at an age where there are no play dates or anything like that, but once that happens, I'm just going to wear a surgical mask around my house until the little bastards go to college.

Now for something completely different, a brief wifeacore update: ejection fraction is up to 48% (normal is 55-70), which I believe is higher than noted DT Star Lolotuei. It was a mild improvement from last time, but an improvement nonetheless -- we're about 9 months out from it, so hopefully in another year or so she'll have made more progress and will be approaching the normal range. She's been cleared to start working out, so I'm going to try to convince her to do an SS style workout once she knocks some of the rust off.

I can give you a few suggestions if you want a good joint to get a beer; I feel like we're sort of obligated to meet up at this point, for the stories.

Ript-esque maybe

I carry most of my fat around my midsection, unsurprisingly, so i'd guess i'm at around 14-15% now. 190-195 should be the goal, hopefully 195 is possible by the time I go on vacation at the end of the month

Thanks a lot, ook, I'm trying to bring up the rear behind you and aura.

I don't think it's the strength that's gone after my two weeks off, it's been the stamina; this is the second workout I've huffed and puffed my way through:

4/10
DL 5x10x195

Same weight as last time, did every rep without pausing, although it was pretty rough to catch my breath in between sets. I may repeat next week.

Bulgarian SS 2x10x10
Hypers 3x15xbw+15
Sup Closegrip Pulldown 3x15x105
VGrip Cable Row 3x15x75
Widegrip Pulldown 2x15x75
Kroc Rows 1x12x50
Shrugs 2x15x75

I didn't have the energy for the ab stuff, I'll add that next week. I'm already dreading how I'm going to feel on Friday . . .

Weight: 203.4

Felt a little less winded during this workout, so I guess that's slight progress; I lost a bit on a few lifts, though, which was kind of discouraging.

4/12
Dips 3x10, 9, 7 x bw+10
DB Bench 1x10, 2x7x75
Incline DB Bench 3x10x55
Pendlays 3x10x135
DB Front Raise 2x15x15
DB Lateral Raise 2x15x10
Face Pulls 2x12x50
Stand 1 Arm Cable Row 3x12x30
Seated 1 Arm Cable Pulldown (Neutral) 3x12x40
Stand Cable Curl 20, 17x32.5 supersetted with
Overhead Cable Tri Press 2x20x62.5

Got it done in under an hour; I think I can probably shave five minutes or so off of it, but it's gotten tougher with the extra lat isolation movements I've added in. They feel good, though, I can actually feel my left scap working a bit, which is unusual.

Have you looked into paleo?

I have always been skinny, and no matter what I ate, I was always about the same body fat %. I had started working out, and putting on some muscle, but I went strict paleo for a month, and lost 10#s and 2 inches on my waste.

To lose fat on your midesection, dietary fat is your friend, anything with a glycemic index is not.

It's not really something I've looked into, I'm pretty much sticking to trying to keep a healthy deficit and keep my protein numbers up, not overload on carbs, and keep my fat numbers up.

Since the beginning of the year, I've gone from 38 inch pants fitting perfectly to 36 inch pants being lose and I've lost around 22 pounds, so I'm pretty happy with how things have been going.

I'm not quite at the level where I can do one arm chinups or body rows, so this will have to do for now.

I might switch out the cable curls for regular DB or BB curls, because I am pretty horrible at them and move almost no weight, especially not in comparison to the other locotards on here.
