Loco,

Destroying a weaker opponent isn't a win. I took a shot at the king and I missed. RIP filets. However, I do agree with your characterization of yourself as a retard. While self conscious in some respects, you also exhibit blinding ignorance.

I'd attempt to help you but simply you're too ****ing stupid.

Best of luck.

Given your history, I'm sure you'll get 5x315 without too much trouble, but you won't go much higher than that without significant dedication (which you are unlikely to demonstrate for all the reasons previously listed).

Also, to be clear, I'm not saying this is a bad thing. It just is what it is. Squatting 5x315 something like 3-4 times per month for the next 10-15 years of your life would be amazing.

re: Montecore tips his fedora at Snitch/3/1

While I'm dropping wild truth observations about the general population, something I've noticed over the last several months after returning to my commercial gym is that decent squatting (and decent barbell lifting in general) has become much more popular in my gym.

It's full of FPS training (225lb pause squats and floor presses everywhere), but the frequency, form and strength being demonstrated is much better than say five years ago. I mostly attribute this to the rise of crossfit. Facilitated by the fact that even these traditionally "commercial" gyms now have a "crossfit" or "functional" area full of racks, platforms and bumpers.

I think the net result is\will be that the level of squatting demonstrated by the general population is increasing (both technique and strength).

I would say that your squat casually approaching 500lbs at 185lbs bodyweight places you towards the top of the olds\cripples\injured\dads.

Hit a nerve. That's okay over here in H&F.

I am just glad you been working on your health and fitness game, because that's all you got now bro. And you got to represent somehow. RFL. Smolov. Olytard. Bring the FPS, we love it.

Thremp has weak powers over here even though he has been getting stronger in knowledge and exercise lately. It's his last home available and we can take him in. All welcome to drink the fountain of youth that is health and fitness.

Too bad he ran off our back and core specialist. Sure the guy was a little whack but still it was something. Maybe he can take over that slot instead of running smolov for babyfrontsquats.

Agreed on all counts, and I actually think I can do it, for the first time ever. 5x275 is the intermediate goal. I think something along the lines of e1RMs of 275/365/455 is probably the top of what I can expect at the weight at which I eventually want to settle, although DL specifically seems kind of unlikely for all the reasons previously noted. Approaching that over the next ~12 months on a slow massing phase is kind of intriguing; this will be the first time I've applied the same sort of rigor to my gainz that I have to my cuts.

From my admittedly very hazy OLDS memory, the people of S&F have failed way harder at lean bulking than at cutting. Notable exception is probably fakebusto. realbusto fails really hard, though admittedly also fails a lot at cutting. loco avoids the entire thing by not bulking. our favorite tweaker is A+++ at cutting and E--- at lean bulking. Etc. I have a lot of faith in mr Core though!

4/19: 179.8

Walking: 30 min @ 4.0/2% incline (2.0 miles)
HLR: 4x8
Pallofs: 4x12x27.5
Farmer's walks: 3x40secx90 lb DBs

Sloughed off the Europe water quicker than I expected. Just a quick morning workout so I can work all day, since I have a mild deadline. Send all this Euro travel has permanently flipped my clock to mornings. Meh.

We'll see. Routine is key for me, and not lifting causes me to go off the rails. Non-Euro travel is usually manageable, which I think is what's on the horizon the next few months.

re: Montecore tips his fedora at Snitch/3/1

4/20: 180.4

A
OHP (5/3/1): wu, 5x110, 3x125, 1x140, 1x150, 1x160, 5x140, 5x132.5, 8x117.5
Pull-ups (wide): 3x+35, 3x+40, 3x+45, 3x+50, 3x+55, 3x+60, 2x3x+45

B
DB Incline Bench: 8x70, 8x75, 7x80, 8x75, 8x70
Facepulls: 6x15
DB Pullover: 4x12x70

C
Dips: 3x8x+50, 1x10x+50
DB Hammer: 4x12x40

Great day. Was planning on topping out at 155 on OHP, but then I misloaded 160 and figured I'd have gotten it had I not noticed, so whatever. Hit a sticking point midway, but my fear of Soulman down below helped me through it. Repped out well on the backoff sets too; everything at the initial 140 set and beyond was belted. 160 not close to a PR, but I'm approaching a 90% bw OHP, which certainly is one, so I'll take it.

Going for another 8 sets of weighted pull-ups two days after weighted NG chins probably wasn't wise in retrospect, but it went alright. I think the plan going forward is to do these once per week with OHP, and cycle through 5x5, 8x3, and the occasional unweighted volume day with both NG chins and widegrip pull-ups. DB row still with whatever barbell bench variant. Some of the other random cable back stuff and other volume related **** with lower body days.

DB incline remains solid; probably jumping up to 75/80/85 moving forward. Feels like it's going to be hard to progress beyond that all that quickly, though.

Dips felt good; will add weight/consider modifying the rep scheme going forward. Clipped off the EV vanity stuff at the end because I figured there's not enough bang for my buck. Good times.

re: Montecore tips his fedora at Snitch/3/1

First for me tonight; went out on a date with the wifeacore and we had no meat (we shared):

Quote:
Pan seared quinoa falafel with sauce tarator and cumin carrot salad
Green tomato and cucumber gazpacho
Spicy red curry noodles, coconut, pineapple, chili, thai basil, soy
Ruby grapefruit, avocado, local greens, feta, Forbidden rice salad
Lemon Bar, graham cracker crust, macerated berries, meringues
Wasn't intentional, but I'd already had 200 g of protein today so I figured whatever. Not even approaching DT or Soulman levels of fancy lad status or Syn levels of self loathing alcoholism (neither of us drank), but just a quick bite at one of the best hipster restaurants in the city. Going to bed early has made me boring.

I probably would have said buddyweiser had he not apparently been on the run for vehicular manslaughter or something; I just made an educated guess based on your love of Asian ladyboys and boner issues.

No offense, of course.

Stopped at "no meat" and cried. Polished my monocle and kept reading. For this, I am accepting my bravery award at the top hat store tomorrow where I'm customer of the month.

No meat... hottest resto in Indy. smdh.

DT,

It wasn't intentional, but they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan items among the small plates, which is where we typically start -- then we just weren't hungry enough for an entree. If it helps I just ate 12 ounces of ham, along with (this morning) more eggs than Yugo ovulates in a lifetime.

4/21: 179.8

A
5/3/1 Squat: wu, 5x180, 3x205, 1x235, 1x265, 1x285, 9x230, 9x215, 10x190
Facepulls (seated, strict, light): 8x15

B
SSPT DL (Week 1): 10x205 (~EMOM)

C
DB Bulgarian SS: 4x8x30

285 is, probably, sadly, a PR. SI felt a bit wonky from my derpstravaganza a few days ago, so I made an effort to leave reps in the tank on the AMRAPs. I was planning on trying for 295 depending on how things felt, and I didn't necessarily feel my SI under stress while squatting, but given I lightly tickled it the other day I thought discretion might be warranted. 3+ wheels seems decently likely by the end of the summer if I don't injure myself or anything.

Concentrated on getting super tight and pulling the DLs fast; video'd the last 3 and they looked good, but lol at posting something at that weight. I continue to (somehow) enjoy the split squatting, and I think it's helping my regular squat.
