I am absolutely feeling good that people want tog get healthy! Healthy food - good! Workout - good! P.S You cant work out so much, Ok swimming yes! Squats no running no bench no! You missing ONE BIG STEP you are overweight and your body will be STRESSED as **** if you make so much effort. Do not do it so extremely! DO the half workout you do or small injuries that you will get from doing your bench with weak body will be inevitable. Please do not take it so fast down! Take time!

I'm not necessarily saying she should aim for slow and steady. I think she should eat less than 1400 calories a day from the start. What I'm saying is that it's important to eat things you like if the goal is to lose long term weight. My personal approach is to ban most forms of Italian food, but that's easy for me because I'm not in love with Italian food. I could take it or leave it. On the other hand, I love cheeseburgers and fajitas and I've been eating them multiple times a week on a 1600 calorie diet. Doing so helps keep me sane knowing that I'll have to diet for at least another 6 months before I reach my target weight.

Good job on the tracking so far. Looks like you're doing well.

It's getting easier by the day to stay under 1400 calories. It took me a month to get to this point, and I'm excited to see the weight loss for this month; should be greater than 9lbs!

So I'm going to be switching to weight loss shakes for a couple of weeks. I'm going to be on the road a lot and playing poker a lot, and I don't want to eat fast food.

Why not just make food and pack into tupperware? Must be better than shakes!

I don't like eating at the poker table, and I haven't cooked anything to easily pack. I will grab some beef jerky to snack on though.

How hungry did you feel on this day? I'm still a tad skeptical in regards to shakes and satiety, but whatever works!
07-10-2016 , 05:05 PM
I was really hungry. Doing it again today and I'm starving.
07-10-2016 , 11:24 PM
Today's calories: 2075
Under my BMR, but well above my goal....back at it tmrw.

I'm also switching the weight loss shake to only breakfast. I'm going to make a large pot of turkey chili, so food for the week will be:
tuna, salmon, veggies, chili, weight loss shakes. I'm hoping for another 4lb week!
07-11-2016 , 07:13 AM
What's a weight loss shake? Link?
07-11-2016 , 08:28 AM
Ditch the shake...get something/ make something that will keep you full....what about porridge in the morning? 40g oats and 200 ml of milk is like 250cals

Hoping is fine, but your attachment to short-term results could turn into a big problem down the road. You're a poker player. You always hope to win when you play, but playing consistently and well is more important to your win rate.

Developing a long-term healthy lifestyle should be every bit as important as weight loss, if not more. Once you get to your ideal body weight, your maintenance calories won't be that far from what you're trying to do right now for weight loss. The grind really never ends. If you just hit your numbers day in and day out and expect modest results, then you won't be disappointed.

Happiness = Reality - Expectations
