I'd eat the strawberries after the eggs and not together, but a good breakfast none the less

Yum! Let's see your breakfast every day for a week or 2!

MLY do you like brown and crunchy eggs? If not use a lower temp.

Is eggs and nothing an American thing? Add some veggies at least imo. Also fills you up. Tons of veggies = A+++ for dieting. And in general.

Just eggs is fine. Baby steps.

Right. Don't lose focus. The goal here is to break a bad habit. The details of what specifically she'd eating, matter less than having her avoid going and overeating on fast food.

Straight eggs are delicious.

M,

I think if you spent a little time working on some basic cooking skills/techniques, you'd find home-cooked meals more enjoyable to make and eat. Is that something you're interested in?

It's something I'm interested in.

My daughter peed her pants this morning while I was cooking the eggs and trying to get her on the bus. They got a lil overdone, but I think they tasted fine.

She was probably just startled that you were cooking something and not grabbing your Smuckers Squeeze for your trip to McDonalds.

of COURSE the over cooked eggs were your daughter's fault. Why wouldn't it be?

That breakfast looks perfectly cromulent. If you had some herbs to mix in with the eggs it might be good but what do I know, its plus health and will make em taste better probably. I should start doing the eggs plus fruit thing for breakfast, keep up the standard, good job MLY!

Eggs, salsa, fruit is what I might do, super easy.

Last edited by rakemeplz; 04-26-2017 at 03:46 PM. Reason: also poor salsa on em could use hot sauce too

Kid thought the house was on fire. Smoke alarm probably going off.

But kudos for cooking eggs rather than relying on FF, M!

You know what would make those eggs great? Tons of butter

I am an American who eats eggs and nothing for breakfast.

I add siracha, salt, & pepper though.

M,

I like my scrambled eggs on the softer/creamier side like this, but not super smooth and custardy:

To make scrambled eggs, just put some butter in a saucepan, crack the eggs straight into the saucepan, turn the heat to medium, and start mixing right in the pot.

See here starting 1:30

You don't need to go on/off the heat like that unless you're looking to do super custardy eggs. I just do them on medium, and keep stirring until a little before they get to the final consistency I want, then take them off. If you prefer a little drier eggs, when the curds start forming, turn the heat up a little to medium-high. Some people like to season w/ salt and pepper at the start, others at the end, I've found it doesn't make much difference when - but don't forget to season!

I like classic French style omelets:

The typical American style omelet is more like a country omelet, and is better for putting a bunch of stuff in.

This is the only video you need for omelets, it covers both styles:

Those eggs look good to me!

M's that is. Would definitely choose over El D's first pic.

Pepin is great. I think YouTube might have some vids where he and Julia Child cooked together. Hilarious drunkenness ensued.

This looks like some really funky mac and cheese.
