I recommend against counting activity as calories.

...and switch to diet sodas!
06-06-2016 , 10:05 PM
I know! Im going to start drinking more coffee in the mornings.
I was drinking about 6 sodas/day+4cups of coffee.......Im having caffine withdrawls
06-06-2016 , 10:08 PM
You should definitely definitely continue to consume caffeine. Just stop putting sugar in it.

Also diet sodas tend to have much more caffeine added than the regular alternatives.

edit: sry misunderstood, I thought you were going off caffeine

What do you guys do when you play poker? Bring lil baggies of vegetables?
Casino days are my very best days. I actually go there in part for the weight losing.

I have them bring me a 5oz grilled chicken breast cut up over broccoli. It's like 200 calories. Do this x3 and drink 50 diet Dr Peppers and it's a 600 calorie day!

Fwiw cheese is an enormous leak of mine and is absolutely a killer. Sucks that it's so calorie-dense because i love cheese so much.

I don't know how to make myself have the energy to workout. Feeling kinda hopeless right now.
An hour walk would be plenty of exercise imo.

When i was actually still losing weight i ate a ton of salads but never any dressing. I like to flavor the stuff with a little bit of cheese, ham cubes or chicken breast, and craisins if i'm feeling like something sweet or tart. But if you want a quarter of your daily calories to be dressing, hey, they're your calories. It's all about choice here.

This is really good! Seriously, awesome job. I don't think you get to subtract your workout calories tho 1400 is quite low so maybe we'll allow this cheating.

With a BMR of 2478, Im on track to loose 2lbs by Friday.
Ill weigh in every Friday---hoping to be 285 this week.

Nice start so far, are you finding it easy to eat stuff like 12.5oz of salmon with no fat added and no sides (carrots?) etc?

I've drunk a ton of soda my whole life, but making the switch from coke to coke zero 5-6 years ago (obviously) made a huge difference even though I hated it at first. These days I can't drink regular coke.

Don't get your heart set on this. It might be 2lbs. But it might be 4 or 0 or even +3. This is a long-term endeavor and the trend is what is important.

Salmon is probably my favorite thing to eat;I love the flavor with nothing but a squeezed lemon, so it's pretty easy for me to eat by itself. Chicken with no sauce is a lil harder though.

I already see an immediate difference in my lower belly fat/bloat from cutting back o the sodas!

Re: the weighing, make sure to be consistent. Weigh yourself right after you wake up. Be mentally prepared for natural variance, both positive and negative, and don't let one specific "negative" measurement put you off. It happens, what's important is to keep going and to focus on what's important (keep building sustainable, more healthy habits).

I like daily weigh-ins and using the average of the last five days or week or whatever, because I feel like that's an easy way to lesser the impact of variance (one day of weight gain is over much more quickly than one week of weight gain), but most weight loss logs here do a weekly weigh-in. Do whatever works for you, just remember to not get discouraged if the scale doesn't cooperate on one particular day.

If that's what you consider a bad day, this is going to be a cake walk.

I suspect you may reassess how you judge these things in the near future.
06-09-2016 , 12:34 AM
Where did you find 50 calorie chocolate chip cookies? I would like some
06-09-2016 , 12:46 AM
Chips a hoy
06-09-2016 , 01:00 AM
I no longer want one.

In Sweden a bag of popcorn is like 400+ calories, and here I thought USA#1 was bigger at everything unhealthy!

Nice log glgl!

The first steps in my fitness expedition were also losing a ton of weight! I thought all I had to do was be rigorous for 6 months max and i'd fit as a cheetah yet here we are half a decade later and I think it's just the beginning!

What matters is the results early on were what drove me further and further!

Keep up the work!
