I'm at work for 9hrs. My normal hours are 7:30-4:30. About two days a week I don't leave till after 5 and last week I was at work till 7 two days. It takes 3 mins to smoke not 8. I spend about 30mins on smoke breaks/getting coffee/bathroom breaks and 30mins on lunch, so I am still working for 8 hours or more.

I plan to walk for 5mins 7 times tomorrow when I'm having cravings and walk for 15mins during lunch. I don't think anyone would raise an eyebrow about this.

"so I am still working for 8 hours or more."

Haven't you yourself said on many occasions that you work a couple hours a day, tops?

You ate 9 Jolly Ranchers at once?

if i had a boss and was a beast of a worker, they'd likely be alright with me roaming around. but that's only if i was a beast, and i'd have asked for an OK before acting differently from the other workers.

If you are going to breakdown the workouts to upperbody/lowerbody you have to go 4x a week (2 uppers/2 lowers). Why 5x5? It's fine sometimes but curious why you decided to do that.

I just wanted to see if I saw a difference with heavier weight 5x5 or lower weight 3x10. When I tried the 5x5 on Sat, I was extremely sore on Sunday and Monday.

Oh, not trying to split upper/lower. I just didn't have a lot of time today. I'll go back tomorrow to do lower body and then full body on Saturday.

M,

Hope all is well with you. Keep strong mentally with the cigs and you will slay the dragon.

P.s. My fat ass weighed same this morning as weight in from last week.

I'm having cravings today, but it's not that bad. The worst was this morning leaving the house with panic that I didn't have a pack of cigarettes.

I'm having a craving now. Still feels like my brain is being squeezed and I'm seeing fuzzy a black spots.

I'm am seriously going crazy.

I keep having instances where I smell something, and then I'm in a completely different place for a few seconds. Not just remembering something from smell, but actually being in a different place.

When I was walking, I breathed in really deep through my nose;the smell and sensation automatically made me believe I was at a track meet. For a few seconds, I really thought I was there. And, just in the break room, I smelled the tile and I was suddenly in a cafateria. Not remembering a cafateria, but being there. I'm going nuts.

Yep, that's what smelling is like. Now that you aren't a smoker, you get to experience the sensation again.

Progress! Just 2 days left and I'm free!

Everytime I have tried to quit before, I have used some sort of nicotine replacement. This is the longest I have gone without nicotine in 12 years!

Not sure if MLYLT answered, this but my answer is that she needs to eat 356 more calories because she quit smoking and needs to eat more food. I'll be happy to help answer more questions for MLYLT as the need arises.

Last edited by rakemeplz; 03-08-2017 at 08:17 PM. Reason: plus she's doing exercise so that allows her to eat more foods too

I missed this question. If you are talking about the Sparkpeople goal, I input a date that I want to be 155lbs and it calculates the calories/day. I guess I changed the date in my goals....Forgot what I set it to.

Smell is one of the strongest memory triggers we possess, and yours was previously badly blunted by smoking.

Still, if you find these sensations of disconnection annoying or troublesome, try a basic grounding exercise to pull yourself back into "now."
