I know Tyler Two is rooting for me, but everyone else are being pessimistic saying that 27 already has it locked up.
07-13-2016 , 05:27 PM
Even if that's true, saying 27o is a huge favorite isn't remotely the same as saying people are rooting for him (or rooting against you). Why do you think people (myself included) respond to posters like you or bags? Because we want to see you improve and succeed (=rooting for you). Yes, even tbabs, even after all the bridges he's burned and all the idiocy he's spewed.
07-13-2016 , 05:52 PM
I'm a lil offended that you compared me to Babs....we have nothing in common
07-13-2016 , 05:57 PM
He's also wrong by the way (very rare for Fabian IME), a way higher percentage of Babs posters just want to see the world burn, whereas a clear majority are rooting for you.

(Also hi, I'm lurking your thread, good progress so far, etc.)

LKJ,

If you thread search the "thinking of quitting" thread and the "nimadamus is a scammer" thread for something like "I still want to see him succeed and turn his life around, despite him being such a huge ******* all the time", you'll get something like five million hits. People have constantly been giving him real, honest advice on how to improve his situation and how to overcome his demons etc etc, including setting up job interviews, writing resumes for him, etc.

I realize that there are still people who can't help themselves but to try to help him. I just don't think the comparison is apt because I think that the percentage of good faith vs. bad faith responses that MLYLT gets is way way higher, and while many are frustrated (often with good reason) with MLYLT, I also think a way lower percentage would classify her as a bad person.

But anyway, I obviously don't mean to cause a Babs derail in this thread.

Grilled cheese are cheese and bread, literally two of the worst possible food choices. Pasta is not far behind.

Keep doing the meat & veggies thing. Drink only water other than a once a week indulgence in something like a glass of wine. Absolutely no fast food. Whenever you start feeling hungry, drink a glass of water.

Do you have a fishing license? They cost $30 and are both a good excuse to spend some time outdoors as well as putting food on your plate for almost free. You don't even need a license to fish in the Texas state parks. A bunch of lakes in DFW are stocked with fish every two weeks, so you won't have much of a problem catching them. If you are new to fishing, you'll find that people are very helpful to newbies. Easy to pick up cheap gear on craigslist or yard sales.

I'm amazed a grilled cheese could be 540 alone, never mind two of them

Yeah that gave me pause too, but I didn't want to pile on. People have been nitpicking OP's food choices to death and they don't seem to understand that she's relatively new to this whole thing and, for adherence's sake, should eat a lot of what she likes. Even if it isn't perfectly diet kosher.

As for the grilled cheese:

4x slice of bread, 200-280 calories
2x slice of cheese, 140-220 calories
0-2 tbsp butter or margarine, 0-200 calories

total 340-700 calories. Yeah, 540 is plausible depending on the bread/cheese choices and how frugally she buttered it. You could also make a poverty grilled cheese with just cooking spray on a teflon pan.

Chop,
That's a good idea. I've fished before, but don't like cleaning the fish. I'm about to be living in the country, and this might be a good option for passing time.

I actually only had one grilled cheese. I was going to eat another one after dinner when I was cooking for my daughter and decided against it. I'm also cooking for a 4yr old and it's hard to get her to eat fish and veggies, so we had grilled cheese.

This was dinner last night. I found some buffalo flavored cauliflower in the veggie steamers section.

Mlylt,

Are you starving all the time?
07-19-2016 , 10:51 PM
No, not at all. I feel full now and have since I ate at 6:00. It was hard the first 4 weeks, but now I'm satisfied at 1200-1400cals. I am drinking about 4X as much water than I used to drink though.
