yea she's been told multiple times how much better the egg mcmuffin would be but still gets the sausage biscuit. mcmuffin has 290 calories while the sausage biscuit with jelly has like 600. the sausage biscuit has more calories FROM FAT than the mcmuffin has TOTAL.

Their yogurt parfait is tasty. Two of those is probably enough.

It's fine for you to eat fast food breakfasts. They're healthy, time-efficient, and low-calorie, as we've discussed previously.

However, do you think there might be a correlation between skipping dinner and lacking the willpower to have a reasonable meal in the morning?

They can be low calorie but are neither healthy or low calorie with the stuff she usually orders.

What was your fast food breakfast?

You should still eat dinner btw; just keep it healthy. Fish and veggies or chicken and veggies or a burger without a bun with a salad. Also soup is a good option. Much better than skipping dinner, which leads to being overly hungry in the morning and bad breakfast choices.

You can do this!
05-19-2017 , 12:29 PM
I disagree.

As long as you can actually make a smart decision for once regarding food tomorrow, fasting the rest of the day is a good idea to keep your kcals in check, since for some reason you never listen to anyone and shove fast food in your mouth constantly.

I have fasted 20 hour stretches twice this week. Simple.

The above has been eye-opening for me and really helped me get things going recently.

Much easier than a balancing act of 3-6 meals a day. Just a matter of WIM.

1873 calories before noon for someone supposedly trying to lose weight is just mind-boggling. That's not "slipping up", that's someone who doesn't care and has learned absolutely nothing from over a year of receiving good advice on forming healthy eating habits. I'm sure you'll turn things around starting tomorrow though!
05-19-2017 , 12:43 PM
M,

I also went over calories today with 6 hours left in the day. I'm going to have a 300 calorie high-protein snack so I don't have to go to bed hungry. It's fine because one +350 calorie day in an otherwise pristine week/month/etc is a harmless blip. It is not a healthy mentality to hang life or death stakes on one decision or one day. If you make sensible decisions on average over a long period of time, you will be skinny in two years, guaranteed.

And this, obv.

I'm bowing out of this thread for good as a result. Much better choices of logs with people who actually want to make progress.

Good luck to the folks hanging around dispensing advice to deaf ears.

I get your point. Intermittent fasting can be a very good tool for some, but see bold above. That ain't happening.

Yeah. Fasting is a mental thing and she clearly is as mentally weak as they come.
I'm anticipating a 2700 calorie day.

M,

What did you have for 1873 cals before noon?

Did the jelly get you?

Fair enough, this will be my last post in this thread.

loco, some of your ideas are terrible. Citanul has given her way more realistic advice to follow than you have. While some people (such as myself) should not be posting in this thread, the fact that you repeatedly ask for bans of those who are actually trying to help her is laughably childish at best, and downright malicious at worst. I can't find anything youve posted recently that is going to help her in any way whatsoever.

Also controlling your carbs. Eating in only a 6 hour window each day has great benefits

It helps me take accountability. Give it a shot...you'd be amazed at how much that self-talk actually matters.
That one is really really good. It helps also to be conscious in the process of choice. Like:
- OK now I feel the pull of McDo
- Why exactly (habit, I am hungry and it is convenient, I think that it taste great, It will calm me down, that is a great value offer, (insert here your reason))?
- What exactly can I do to find other ways to get this reason satisfied

Ladies,

Agreed it would be better if she took some responsibility for her actions!

It's rooted in a sports cliche.

The guy* who wins the scrap for the loose ball just wanted it more. The guy who comes back after getting knocked down and gets a KO of his own just wanted it more. And so on.

Josie has serious WIM. The antonym acronym is WIL. Antonym acronym would be a great band name btw.

TY Dodger! I find the term very inspiring and will say it to myself when working out. It helps because I DO. I also find WIM the key factor in poker. Some players keep reading, learning, honing their game while others will just bemoan their bad luck. WIM.
