I'm moving in with my sister for a few months while I look for a house to buy. I've considered staying with her for maybe a year to save a lot of money, but I'm not sure yet....she lives way out in the country and it's 20mins to a gas station.

You should stay out of your own log if all you're going to do is waste people's time with infinite excuses and ignore every single piece of advice given to you.

So I ended up not having to go back to work, the night shift supervisor covered for me. I'm very thankful, but my dang schedule got messed up. I would have went to the gym, then to get my hija, then to the doc.

Not a horrible day(under calories), but there was fast food, french toast, chips, and pasta. I ate the dang chips thinking I would skip dinner or eat something small around 8, then I freaking ate pasta.

I'm doing so well this month and I'm not going to let today mess up all the other progress. I notice a huge difference in the look and puffiness of my face when I'm not eating fast food everyday and I want to keep all that bloating and swelling gone.

M,

Congrats on skipping the jelly!

I wonder if I could be ready by Oct.
Cross fit might be what I need as well. I did a 6week course a few months after I gave birth a few yrs ago and loved the intensity.
M, this is near my place and last year I volunteered there on Saturday, it was a blast. Most people do the course as a walk or jog with buddies. As a volunteer they gave me a discount that is good this year, can do the full mudder for $20 or half mudder for $10.

As it gets closer PM me if you want the discount code, and if I still have it, it is yours.

There's a silver lining to everything.

i've done 7 tough mudders. they are a blast. generally about 12 miles sometimes up ridiculous cliffs which sucks cuz your calves are blown and tend to cramp badly at some point. i've done some that are highly competitive with friends and some solo and also even done 2 with a gf so the pace is completely up to you. there will be obstacles that you cannot complete. i consider myself an athlete and there were some i couldn't no matter how many times i tried. inclined to declined monkey bars covered in mud for one. but every person i've ever done one with considered it a badge of honor to complete. some of the obstacles are just mind over matter like the artic enema or the electric eel etc

i highly recommend it for you. doesn't matter how long it takes. walk it if you want. plenty of ppl do. but you'll be proud to finish. it could certainly spark a desire to push your body.

how far is your sis n law house from work? is it further or closer to dallas?
05-17-2017 , 10:25 PM
Do you mean my sister? Her house is 30mins farther from Dallas and from my job

Whilst you may have a point, your presence in this thread is no longer desired.

MLYLT, I think you have missed a lot of good advice in your thread, and ultimately you taking ownership of your progress (in all health realms) is going to be what delivers success or not. Maybe a good project for you would be to re-read and collate all of the good advice into a single post? Good to hear you're heading to the doctors/therapist though.

Is this how you talk to your mental illness
05-19-2017 , 09:21 AM
Lol, wrong mental illness....it's more like "no, goddamit, you aren't going to be sad today, get up!"
05-19-2017 , 09:22 AM
On the road again today and I had fast food for breakfast. Slipped up, but I'm going to eat healthy the rest of the day. I slipped up yesterday, but I skipped dinner and kept my calories under maintenance.
05-19-2017 , 09:35 AM
I like getting in my own head and saying, "I made a bad/terrible/unproductive choice" better than "slipped up."

It helps me take accountability. Give it a shot...you'd be amazed at how much that self-talk actually matters.
05-19-2017 , 09:51 AM
Yeah, and there's a clear difference between slipping up i.e. making a careless error, and making a bad conscious choice.

did you get two jelly covered sausage biscuits or just one sausage biscuit without jelly? or did u take the threads advice and get something better like the egg mcmuffin or yogurt parfait?
05-19-2017 , 10:51 AM
Egg while delight mcmuffin is <300 calories.
