I was kind of hoping that the wishing Thremp has a fat boss derail made it's way over here. The process of some newbie peeling back the onion skin on him would have been amusing at worst and hilarious at best.

I agree.

USAW nationals this weekend for anyone interested in a real strength sport... burgeoning at best in USA#1 though it is.

It's actually close to my house. May go by later to creep on watch the technique of the 48 and 53 As.

Not really worth my time. I mean what I already know:
- Guy himself is not really a role model with good eating and working out habits
- He was banned at least few times, so I am not the only one who sees him as obnoxious
- He has a boss, although now not a fat one
- He doesn't have SO/**** buddy/enough money for a hoe, so that to get variety in sex he alternates his left and right hand

I don't even think that his remark was made to hurt anyone, he just doesn't think when he talks. So I somehow don't see what to discuss here.

I am to lazy to dig through his workouts, but from others remarks in his log, they are also suboptimal.

I mean the dude is really high-nosed, and for that to far from perfect himself.

edit: just for clarity, because from your teasing attempt, it is apparent that you think that I assume thremp and M05 are different guys - I don't. And 10 years doing something doesn't change a little bit in him being far from a role model in fitness stuff.

Who said he wants to be a role model?

While you may not like his delivery method regarding information, he's rarely wrong and his advice is solid. Not to mention his post wasn't even meant to be be offensive, you inferred that.

Besides, mly pretty much ignores all the advice in the thread anyway. Obv.

No one said that he wants to be a role model in fitness stuff.
I just summarized points that I know about him, because Melkerson said, that something interesting could happen if I would understand better, how M05 is.

What advice is in: "I don't talk to fat women."? Did I miss something? Is my reading comprehension so poor? Please explain it to me and I will apologize.

His post: "I don't talk to fat women" wasn't meant to be offensive, but it was. It was highly offensive for me, and in my past such words would have thrown me on the edge of eating disorder. What is even more offensive, that after I indicated, that it was hurtful, it came nothing back from him. I mean we all say from time to time things that are not good, hurt someones feelings.... But if it is not my intention to be hurtful, I pedal back after I am told that saying XYZ, is a dick move.

I mean I get "I don't want to **** fat women" but "I don't talk to fat women" and please pay attention to that it is not "I don't talk to fat people", it is "I don't talk to fat women" it is a level of dehumanizing that makes me just want kick his butt.

Seriously!

You all might see that as something small and insignificant. But the point is that such words do damage. They do damage in the women around you.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

"I don't talk to fat women" is very offensive and I can't really understand anyone defending that point. Would saying "I don't talk to fat people" be any better? Highly doubtful but at least it wouldn't be so misogynistic. I don't understand this mentality. Does this mean he also doesn't talk to addicts? He avoids drinkers and smokers? Where does he draw the line? People can be decent and worthwhile human beings if they are fat. It's not like they are kiddy fiddlers.

I think many of your are conflating outcome with intent. "I don't talk to black people" is equally as valid an observation based on my actual communication.

Or "I don't talk to people who don't speak English."

Actually I talk to a few. But it probably comprises about 1 in 200, which is close enough to "I don't" here. I just don't really know many fat people socially and I find food addiction to the point of gluttony just as distasteful as other addiction.

I did enjoy that "things I know". It was quite the mishmash of things that range from true to untrue. Also, those quotes are kinda weird. One of them consists of me exercising restraint in going on vacation and trying to keep weight gain <2kg when I'm clearly intending to eat many things. The other is about making contextual food choices, where I realize some dessert items leave me prone to binging so I don't purchase them and instead purchase dessert that if I do have a craving will result in not consuming 1000+ calories. The former is w/e, the latter is actually really good advice on how to purchase/store/consume dessert items without waking up in a sugar induced haze.

ETA: I think past perfect would have been clearer grammatically to describe observation rather than intent. "I have not been...", but I'm not simply trying to express that I have not been talking to fat women in the past. It is incredibly likely they will comprise a very small part of interactions going forward as well. So I just don't know. Grammar never been a strong point for me.

OK, Now I almost have my peace with that. At least so far that I am OK with not to dig further into it.

And about the quotes..... I mean... We are all human. Ice cream is also my preferred dessert. But perfect fitness dude wouldn't overeat on holidays and wouldn't consume pure sugar in any form. :P

edit: I am really surprised that no one in your family/immediate environment is fat.
05-13-2017 , 08:32 AM
The idea that there is some sort of weird "perfect" ideal is probably where your eating disorders stem from. Orthorexia, which you seem to struggle with, is just as real as any other disorder. The fact you don't think planned indulgence or dessert can be part of even a competition diet is more indicative of your mental illness and how you project it onto other people.

BTW did you enjoy writing all that obvious bull**** under "what I already know"? How do you think it reflects on you to first moral highroad an offhand comment, then indulge in baseless personal attacks under the pretense of "fact"?

only when it comes to filet vs ribeye
05-13-2017 , 08:49 AM
Lets not forget breast vs thigh.
05-13-2017 , 09:35 AM
Ohhh.... boy.

I definitely have disturbed relationship with food. I am not sure that that is this Orthorexia, and it is actually to extended topic for LC. You are welcome to have a look in my log.

Do you want to say that you do have a SO or don't have a boss? Or that you don't masturbate? Or that having a lot of beers is also a part of competition diet? Or that you never had been banned here?

And all my points were fully intended to be hurtful to you. I wanted to kick your butt for not talking to fat women. That has nothing to do with moral high road. Just no way. Moral high road ..... Naahhhh .... That is not me.
05-13-2017 , 09:48 AM
You are vastly overestimating your affect on my life.
05-13-2017 , 09:50 AM
I think that it is about zero. I mean my effect on your life. That is why I didn't come to LC first after the incident. But you and few others expressed the wish to see this continued.

I don't talk to fat women is not offensive?

You drinking the thremp Koop-aid bro.

Don't run off the women thremp, I think the Indian is enough.
05-13-2017 , 11:07 AM
I said 'wasn't even meant to be offensive', and I still hold that by itself it's not a universally offensive statement. See his qualification above for other examples. There are many sects of the world population I don't talk to, presumably it's the same for you.

Not sure why that's drinking the thremp 'koop-aid', but k. Guess I should start a smolov jr cycle next to remove all doubt.
