That's the proposed update to the FAQ. It was created in this thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=155956 by combining the current FAQ with new Q&A's and links submitted by various posters. Thanks to everyone that contributed. If you have any more suggestions or comments regarding this update, please post them in the thread mentioned above.

I'll PM the moderator's listed at the bottom of this page. And see if we can have the current FAQ swapped out with this one. Some one may also want to start some discussion in ATF.

The 'Foods I can prepare in big batches' link is messed up FYI.

Other than that good job. I have been reading it and trying to learn everything in it.

Hey guys, I'm going to go update the FAQ. Also, I"m going to go to the mod forum and recommend I be demoded from H&F. I haven't been active for a while and I'm going for a 3 month long trip where I'll mostly be distracted and not be able to give the appropriate attention, so if you guys want to nominate someone as a new mod I can recommend in there let me know.

Edit: N/m, it's already been updated.

Thanks, Bond18

Make Smiley a mod also. He's getting mean. If he's a mod, he has to be nice.

Another suggestion, if possible can you include a comment about fruit and also eggs? I am eating about 4 pieces of fruit a day. I have heard people say blah blah fruit is **** its all sugar and others say fruit is good eat as much fruit as you can. And I am extremely confused over who to listen to. Should I restrict my fruit intake? Same goes for Eggs, some people saying don't eat too many eggs, others saying eggs are fine. Same for Tuna re:mercury. God damn it is hard for a newb to know what to eat

NotBSV, Nutrition is a bit of a controversial subject on this forum and the world at large. As you've stated, everyone has their own opinion. Ultimately, you'll have to make your own decisions. That's why I included 6 different diets in the FAQ and additional reading in the resources section. Also, keep in mind that different parties will have different goals, that will affect their nutrition choices.

I fixed the link re cooking in batches. Thanks for the heads up.

I just barely skimmed that thread about what to get for working out at home, but if it gets good, it might be included in the faq. The question seems to come up occasionally.

Why is Smiley's log linked and not mine? This is a travesty of the highest order.

Mostly so I could piggy back on Smiley's popularity in my unrelenting quest for power.

I'll add yours to the 2+2 links section.

Do we have any particularly good links for people with sleep issues?

I ask because, as it happens, I'm a chronic insomniac and am going through a particularly horrendous period now, making me finally willing to consider drugs. It might be good to have some links in this regard, if anyone knows of a few.

Some recommended books to read on health and fitness in general, if this is ok with Thremp obv? We should probably all chip in and hire a professional to review the books for us first though.

That's a good idea Shieler. I don't think we need reviews, there's plenty on Amazon and elsewhere. Some quick suggestions off the top of my head. "Starting Strength" and "Practical Programming". "Good Calories, Bad Calories", "Eat to Live". Some of Pavel's Books.

Wynton, I'll try to find some stuff for you later tonight or tomorrow. If you find anything good post it here. Thanks.

Sarcism doesn't come across well in text......that was directed at Thremp, of course no need for the reviews, a good reading list would be nice though for those who really want to expand their knowledge.

I know. But I'm not the one spouting off horrid programming ideas, being corrected, and then "reviewing" a variety of fitness texts.

Please make your attacks more personal and direct in the future. TY.

I noticed nothing ever went in the FAQ about books. I am looking to do further reading and I read the bodybuilding.com forums a lot now. I hear people mention Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tommy Venuto a lot but I don't know why, is this book any good?

I take it there is no Doyle Bruson's Super System or DS The Theory of Poker equivalent's for health and fitness (i.e. MUST read grounding breaking books). I can get rakeback in amazon giftcards and therefore pick up books from there regularly for 'free' so I am wondering if there is anything I should buy for health and fitness knowledge.

Most people here would agree that "Starting Strength" would fit that criteria. Some people, including myself, would say the same about "Good Calories, Bad Calories."

Unless I completely overlooked it, the 5x5 workout didn't seem to make it into the FAQ...is that b/c it is essentially the same thing as SS or is there another reason it was passed up?

Edit: Sorry, I did miss it. Excellent FAQ tsearcher, thanks for the hard work.
