Failed at getting 3 x 8 x 200 on flat bench last time; got it this time.

Incline Bench 135: 8, 8, 8+ (13)
Flat Bench 200: 3 x 8
CG Bench 95: 10, 10, 20

Barely got 8th rep on last set of flat bench. Would be interested to know what I can do on flat when fresh but seem to be progressing nicely as is.

Bah, close-ish on flat bench but will have two more shots at it before a reset. Thing is I'll be increasing incline bench in the meantime so that'll make hitting 3 x 8 on flat harder.

Definitely think this is the strongest I've been.

Forgot to mention, I've been cutting. I was 247 or so a few months ago and am down to 237ish in the AM. Will probably cut to 215, so still a ways to go.

Think that's a PR for sets / reps on OHP. Have done 5 x 145 before but never 3 x 5 x 140.

One more rep than last time on flat bench. Happy with that given that I increased incline bench by 5lbs over last chest / tris day.

Realized today that I hadn't actually done 5 x 145 before, so 3 x 5 x 145 is a big PR. Next up: 150!

Same result as last time on flat bench. That's 3 times failing to get 3 x 8 at 205, so gonna reset to 165 (-20%). Probably climb back up until I fail 3 times again then reset and start micro-loading.

I've been mostly doing crossfit stuff tbh which has been a lot of fun. Not getting much stronger but not getting weaker, still picking off PRs here and there, and aesthetics slowly moving in right direction so no complaints!

Nice progress in here. What's the program/goal?

Sounds like fun.

Thanks, mostly been doing upper body bro-ish stuff (chest + tris, shoulders, back + bis) with each session twice a week. Been cutting as well; down to 237 from 247, but wanna get to 215 or so.

Long-term goals: would be nice to bench 315, OHP body-weight. Fwiw, I think BW OHP is a long ways away. I've done 180 at low 240s BW so that's not particularly close heh...

Not really sure what I'm gonna do this summer, though I'll be in NYC.

You're still there right?

Think those are all rep PRs (largely cuz I haven't done AMRAP at 165 on flat pretty much ever). Incline is a real PR though.

Really happy with getting 5 x 155. A year ago I did 5 x 145, so nice to finally break into the 150s.

Finally done with semester. Didn't submit one HW out of 11 so HW average is 84 or something. Did above average on midterm and bombed final so will see how things turn out.

At parents' place, so hard to get gym sessions in but doing my best. Will reset on OHP next time I fail. I leave for NYC for summer internship this Sunday and then I'll (hopefully) have a much better gym set-up.

More generous angle on the incline bench but still a PR. Had to rush a bit so had like 2m of rest between flat bench sets.

Surely there's some lower body work you could implement that isn't too hard on the knee. Leg extensions, romanian deadlifts, back extensions, etc?

Nah there probably is, I've just been lazy about doing it. Should really be doing PT, etc.
