The brisket is great. Sides and desserts are very good. Ribs are barely edible. Never tried the chicken.

Well, I'll be damned they do inflate the annuity. I wouldn't have guessed they would.

The advertised estimated jackpot represents the total payments that would be paid to a jackpot winner should they accept the 30-installment option. This estimate is based on the funds accumulated in the jackpot pool rolled over from prior drawings, expected sales for the next drawing, and market interest rates for the securities that would be used to fund the annuity
Looks like they also use that inflated amount for marketing purposes tho. I guess it's about a wash relative to my preconceived notions about the lottery.

when it comes to 'Q, I feel like pulled pork is always the safest bet.

If you make $50k now you're properly middle class, but if you're making $50k 25 years from now you'll probably be ~poverty level. That's what I mean by disinflating the money because even though nominally it will be the same amount in real purchasing power it will be worth much less.

That's the other half (in addition to being able to invest a lump sum) of why taking the lump sum is better, and I don't think it occurs to a lot of people.
No, I'm talking about ppl getting huge lump sums and then going busto with hookers/blow/really really bad financial decisions. I'm not really sure what you thought I meant in my post. Inflation doesn't outpace someone who hemorrhages $ like G4S eats steak.

Famous Dave's is great and yeah, they are all over MN. I have no idea how they rank with "real" bbq from the south or w/e, but I like most of their food. I usually eat there at lunch and get brisket + sausage link and am liberal with their sauces.

Mmmmm. Damn, gotta find a way to go there soon!

I was referring to the part I bolded in your post, but I subsequently looked it up and apparently they do inflate the annuity by 4% per year.

Forgot about the pulled pork, that is awesome too. I actually think the ribs are OK, but our standards for BBQ here in MN are pretty damn low.

Our standards for sweet corn on the cob are prolly the highest in the world though, and Famous Dave's is awful.

I saw a lottery winners show on TLC or something one time, and if 2 people sign the ticket, each person gets to decide how they want their portion.

So for example, a husband and wife both sign the ticket, they get half up front, then the other half in a 30 yr annuity or whatev. Best of both worlds for people who are bad with money.

I have convict conditioning 1 and 2, they are both really good as far as teaching good progressions on harder bw stuff, and also very corny in regard to the prison tough guy talk. Al kavadlo also has an ebook called raising the bar that is pretty good. Of all 3 I think CC2 is the best because it's about grip, neck, and some pretty simple and cool mobility concepts, stuff that would supplement lifting really well without trying to replace it

Re: Busto lottery winners. There is a documentary called Lucky were they follow a bunch of lottery winners including one guy who is completly busto after winning (I think) 20+ millions. That guy was the worst ever when it came not spending money on crap. When they had somekind of auction of his stuff it included 12K pair of pants, if he found a pair of pants he liked he bought all the pairs a store had. He also bought 5 of each power tool at some hardware store. His siblings tried to kill him 4 times because he didnt give them money he promised he would give to them.

The documentary is filled with alot of ******ed stuff such as people talking about friends not wanting to see them anymore because they stole their luck and other completly ******ed stuff.

Overall a decent documentary

Not the study, but someone actually sent me this yesterday:
