Best firefox addon allows you to download any video with 2 clicks, but I may also be spoiled from not seeing ads ever.

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

Light Cardio today
Stability ball crunches x60 x60 x60

I must be doing these wrong. It feels like I am crunching forever and and I start losing count and just quit because I almost fall alseep on the ball. Abwheel on the other hand is going to be real tough to do with knees elevated.

70 reps of deadlifts tomorrow (40 conventional, 30 dimel)

Plus the rest of the back workout. And my legs are still sore right now from Saturday. Looks like this may be the end of the log. Nice knowing you guys. Hopefully I update cause then that means I survived.

I use the Firefox add-on "Download helper" to download videos, it works for youtube. You could save to computer then transfer to phone.

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

Deadlift
4 sets of 175x10

Form getting better, but still need to improve. Will stay at this weight til
form dialed in.

Dimel deadlift
3 sets of 155x8
Grip gave out, didnt feel anything on my legs or back. Pretty
sure I need deficit deadlifts and not dimel right now. Going to use straps and go to 175 next time

3 sets of hyperextensions

I then just quit and left the gym. Lol!!!! Going to go back later and finish the lats portion. So embarrasing, dont even want to tell coach.

What was embarrassing? You forgot to finish your workout, got upset, or it was just tough at that point and you packed it up for the day?

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

It was embarrassing that I couldnt finish it. I mean sure if I stayed two hours I could have finished it, but my intensity would have been pathetic anyways. My grip was totally shot after 64 reps of deadlifts and I was stumbling around. Oh well, thats what I get for ignoring squats/deadlifts all these years.

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

Ahh, I see. I didn't realize the rest of your workout required more gripping, but yeah, 64 reps of any DL weight basically is gonna jack your grip. I'd for sure have straps and use them for as many reps as necessary (if not all reps).

No reason not to mention it to your coach btw. Probably useful info for him to know what you're struggling with the most and what you're able to do well.

Are these actual dimel deadlifts, unless your max deadlift is already near 500, this is too heavy and reps should be 20-25

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

I could be doing them wrong. The only thing I do well is bench and flyes.

I know the reppage is supposed to be higher on these, but just following coach´s program (3x10). I have the video so I´ll send it to my coach soon.

I don´t think I am that far off. Probably could be a little more explosive. In general, that top third of the deadlift is really, really easy for me. Once it gets off the floor I am coasting. Its getting it off the ground with good form that is giving me lots of problems. Never squatting-squatting on the smith machine is to fault here.

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

My new deadlift form has bruised up my shins pretty bad. Going to get some big socks from walmart. Maybe some thick cotton sweatpants. I had heard about this and wore wind pants instead of shorts. Yeah like that's going to help. Donk alert, donk alert.

I still ripped up my shins with long pants and tube socks; Yugo suggested these to me and they have helped a great deal.

Re: Loco's "training to genetic potential" log (BB)

Very nice. I had an ab wheel and a grip strengthener in my shopping cart
that I had not shipped yet. Going to add this ASAP.

I am concerned that I slightly bruised a knee also. That can't be good, hopefully
its not recurring.
