Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
I am not in the Chicago area. I just travel all over the USA playing the pokers and workout wherever a gym let me (a ton of them have let me workout for free for a day).
Coach is John Pinder from Iron Addicts. He is training for Masters Raw World Record in squat, bench, deadlift and total. Seems kinda of crazy since he just tore up his hamstring all over the place last October. His training log is on Iron Addicts in the training section (exmgtoo). Looks he is just getting ramped up and started actually training for the January meet.
He does my nutriton, bodybuilding routine, and goes over my form videos over skype each week. I signed up long term so I pay like $40 a month. Its been worth it for me since he is a such form freak and has really been helping me out with that. My physique is changing right before my eyes. So much that I'll probably leave the aesthetic goals behind and eventually just move over to strength based goals.
I could have also solved a lot of issues by just bugging Evoken. He actually has been spot on many of the issues I have been going through (especially the form issues). He nailed what was wrong with my deadlift. So all the newbs may want to bug this guy through PM to look over videos. I didn't know it at the time but this Evoken character is pretty good at this weightlifting/powerlifting stuff.
Evo I am not sure what field you are interested in getting into. But you may want to check out what John is doing. He has like 100+ clients and is one the happiest people I know. Seems like you would be really good at doing what he does.

$40/month? Did you sign up for a 20-year plan or something

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
15 months. I am serious about this. I have been working out close to 6 months consecutively now which is a PR. Use to work out 3 months and then take a break and promptly go on beer/cheeseburger tilt. As long as I am working out I stay in check. With all my history of family disease, I think I am going to add decades to my life. Plus look good, feel good, and be strong. I already feel so much better. I am not sleeping well because the new workout is strenuous and all the caffeine in green tea I consume adds up. However, when I go to sleep at night I close my eyes and I don't feel any pains anywhere. It's like I have no body and it's just my mind and my pillow. Definitely did not feel like that at 181 21%+ bodyfat.

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
Kind of crappy workout yesterday. Preworkout all I had was a protein shot about an hour before.
Chest work
Military press 100x10,10,6
Don't know what the heck happened on that last set. It was supposed to be 10 reps.
More shoulder work
Tricep work
Barbell Curl 60x15,15
Las Vegas Athletic Club is ridiculous. When I was doing my barbell curls there was like 8 bros right next to me all curling away on dumbells and barbells. I for sure could of made it in the GGO thread if one of you was filming somewhere behind a pole. So many GGOs at LVAC. So funny.

But I don't feel that bad cuz I can press those 100 pounds at least 10 times for at least three sets, at least.

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
Awesome workout today. Had some BCAAS preworkout and a 6inch whole grain subway with double meat and avocado spread (no mayo).
Squats
4 sets of 10 165 lbs
I think form is almost there. Keeping weight on my heels and sitting back into the squat position.
Leg Press
3 sets of 15 320 lbs
This Nautilus Xplode Leg Press blows. The range of motion was LOL. Could have put 400+ pounds on that thing and repped out 12 no problem. Which is crap because I have stick legs.
1 arm KB swings
More leg work
calf work
Ab work
Finished my whole workout without huffing and puffing. A combination of my conditioning getting better and also I think I need to get some food preworkout. I have been working out on empty stomach lately and it seems like I run out of steam and can't finish reps that I should be finishing.

Has your press gone up? That's good.
Would have been funnier if you would have replied to my leg day and said I can squat those 165lbs at least 100 times, at least. LOL.

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
Solid log title imo. Chill out bro, mods change log titles all the time around here. Didn't name my own log either.

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
Just did abs and grip work. On the treadmill now. Have no idea what 45 minutes of 3.5 speed/3 incline is supposed to do. So bored on this thing. No girls to check out. Dreaming of apple pie. Had homemade warm apple pie on 4th of July. So good. Wanted to eat the whole thing. I think I get cheat days in the future. Saw a post where my coach ate tons of pop tarts and had 10000 calories in a couple of hours. Going to eat a whole apple pie on my first cheat day.

Re: Loco's Metabolic Overtraining log (BB)
Loco,
While you get hated on a lot, I'd like to see more logs of your workouts, as I have been adding in more and more bro-work lately.
