so i pretty much suck at life. pretty much two months without a workout. fml. plenty of excuses to be had, but the truth is, life woulda been better these past two months if I trained even a little, 1-2x a week at least. My cat having 4 kittens has been stressful, but also pretty cool:
prime candidates for SS+GOMAD

i can haz do-wins?
So I've felt like ****, ate like ****, slept like ****. Back acting up again, probably from lack of mobility work and load bearing activity. During warm ups today, it felt like I pulled my tailbone. Not sure if it's a muscle thing, a tendon thing, or what, but when I get in the full squat the left side of my tailbone is really sensitive and acts up. It'll go away soon I'm sure, just annoying.
Today was just to kinda ease back into things. Gonna just do SS for 2-3 weeks to get the movements back in order and probably do some cardiotarding on saturdays.
6/7
Squats - 225x5x2
Press - 115x5, x3
Deadlift - 225x5
Squats went OK. Need to focus on knees out, not automatic anymore. Got up off my heels a couple times. These weren't too hard, so that's good news.
Pressing kinda sucked. I took a short break between work sets and the bar was all over the place on the 2nd set, so I just shut it down.
I wasn't trying to go heavy on the DLs (obv), just wanted to do the movement and see how the back felt. Honestly, the hardest part of this was the aerobic stress. I was kinda out of breath. So pathetic.
Short term goal: "tone up" (lol), lose 10-15 before my bro's wedding in 6 or 7 weeks, get close to previous PRs on all lifts within a couple months.
long term - get "lean" within a year. just stay consistent with diet (lifestyle change, basically), keep learning about nutrition. Eventually want to compete. Would really love to learn olympic lifting and compete primarily in that (less contestants, shorter meets, no bench monkeys).
