Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

i would prefer to eat less whey but again it's merely about convenience and not eating two lbs of chicken a day which would kinda get old fast.

White rice would be a part of my last meals on earth. Along with a couple great curries.

Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

this is the last week of my log, it looks pretty lol in that i eat something "bad" pretty much every day (alcohol/chocolate/cake). still stay a few 100 cals under maintenance and get 150-200gms brotien/day tho. i credit the fact that i minimize the non-delicious carbohydrate sources and am totally fine eating large 100% meat meals with this amazing feat

samosa 2 skewers beer steak choc hedgehog milk
scrambled eggs 2 coffee skewers choc beer steak m&ms
coffees skewers croissant brioche soup
anzacs 2 coffee lasagna choc croissant chicken stir frycoffee cake milk
3 coffee 2 choc skewers laksa fried octopus beer wine
cakes coffee chicken beer wine
toasts pudding gatorade coffee mushroom stir fry salad + lamb choc

skewers=chicken on a stick, my main brotien source. when it says skewers it means like 300-400gms of barbequed chicken

you're either trolling, full of ****, or lift jellydick weights. how is toasts pudding mushroom stir fry and some lamb anywhere close to 150g of protein.

I'm not eating ****ing cake and beer daily and hitting my gym numbers and calorie goals. it's just not happening.

Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

maybe if you didn't eat so much white rice and oatmeal you could

jokes. but it seems like your goal is sub 15% bf so idk how you're planning to avoid getting weaker no matter how great your diet is. i mean your deficit is over 1k cals according to your log? your maintenance is like 3k i'd imagine (i weigh pretty much the same as you and that's what i work off) i don't think is possible to not get weaker under those conditions

500g mushroom stir fry ~500cal/20p , 450g roast lamb ~800cal/120p. i don't sit there are gorge myself with chocolate btw, these are small "treat" type servings (under 200cal) for the most part. and i'm eating like 2600cals a day (weight 210), fairly easy to squeeze that stuff in

This has really opened up my eyes to how little I need to eat to actually lose weight. Keeping it at around 2000 is doing nothing for me. I think I'm going to take a page out of your book and eat nothing but whey and chicken. Wish me luck, cause I only lift jellydick weights.

Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

does not compute imo. do you log your intake over a reasonable amount of time (like a month or 2)? i'd be pretty shocked if a 5'11 240lb guy (from first pg of your log) who exercises regularly (like gym 3-4x a week) wasn't losing at least an lb every cpl weeks on 2k cals a day (and prob more)

That's awesome. I'm going to start saying that.

In Australia.

No. You think about it.

Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

Man I was hovering around 1800-2k cals a day and my strength plummeted so fast it made me hugely depressed. How can you manage when you're starting a good 20lbs higher than me?

Kudos though obv.

Meh, I'm averaging a 2.2k cals and losing slightly more than a lb a week. I'm not interested in dropping much further below that either.

Re: Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness)

So starting my new cycle today. Pretty much just repeated Friday's press stuff. I only got like 3+ hours sleep last night cuz I was up all night reading stuffyouwillhate posts and then some ****ing dog was going buckwild off and on from like 5-7 a.m. Oddly enough felt pretty energized today and had a solid workout.

One thing I did differently, but for the past few months I've been doing a scoop of whey and a scoop of waxy maize pre-workout. Today I did 1.5 scoops whey, 1/2 cup of oatmeal IN COFFEE. The coffee was real ****ty work coffee, but with the whey and oats. man it was pretty awesome.

Anyway,

8/20
Press:
115x5x2, x9 (failed 10th, not much WIM).

A rep or two less than Friday, but my quads were real sore plus no sleep. I'm fine with this.

DB Bench:
45x10x3

These felt great. better than last time. Really focused on exploding the weight up.

Lat Pulldowns (w/ straight bar):
120x15x2

I like these.

Neutral grip chins: 2x2, 1x1 (failed 2nd). Also banged out some reps on the v-handle we have hanging from the roof.

Poundstone curls (AMRAP w/ 45lb bar): 18

Didn't push it. Kinda bothers my right wrist which has always had problems with the supinated position. But I can see why these are effective. Might keep these in every week or every other.

Anyway, pretty solid session with plenty of energy. But it was odd I was still quite sore from a pretty meh workout on Saturday. My quads were pretty DOMSy from the reverse lunges, and biceps were a tad sore from the hammer curls. I did take a lot of time off before that, but still. On the plus side, and this is purely anecdotal, but I've always had trouble flexing the left leg hard, especially the left ass. Could never get the same squeeze I get on the right side. But after the single leg stuff and the goblet squats on Saturday, I could get my left ass real tight. ACTIVATION.

Also, walked 8.3k steps today prior to the gym. SOLID.

Might up the cals based on some feedback in this thread. We shall see.

KC,

You can ban whoever (whomever?) you want from your log- just post the names you want barred here. My humble recommendation is to relax, continue eating white rice (and cookies and chocolate), kill the lifts, get lean and entertain all posters.
