Outside of the manlet part, this mirrors my experience. I eat a ****load of meat (for normals, anyway) and adding another half pound of brisket after I've already eaten two pounds of chicken doesn't hold the same appeal as something like a Quest bar.

I personally find it easier to have a Quest bar for dessert lest I fall into the throes of POICAD, but perhaps that's more a commentary on my suboptimal willpower.

I can dig that, whatever helps with compliance is always the way to go.

Are french fries similar to quest bars? If so, that is what I substitute. QED

I'm looking for a "running belt"...really something that I can wear and store my phone in while working out.

Is this a good option? If you have a better suggestion, please provide it! TYVM

Apple watch imo.

That way you don't need to carry your phone with you.

Yeah but they're ugly so I can't commit to strapping it on 24x7.

And I just got the new Iphone 7plus so it's gonna be here a while.

Like I'd strap extra bulk to my waist or fanny. I need sleek. Already have plenty of bulk in those locations.

If you only need storage for the phone and keys, google running armband.

I can't get that link to work on my phone. The one I use isn't listed any more, but this one looks similar:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DBMUMXS..._l0hmzbMGNDEJD

Can go over shorts or under shirt.

I'm building out a garage gym, and I am in the market for this style of squat/bench stand:

In searching around, it looks like the Valor BD-9 is the top name brand, but comes in at about $175 vs $60-80 for the various off brands.

Anyone have experience with the Valor and/or off brands? Trying to determine if the Valor is worth the extra $.

LOL cutting. I do the exact opposite as Soulman and look for food with high caloric yields per gram. These low cal protein bars do nothing for me if I then have to eat two of them just to keep my calories high enough that I don't lose weight.

But to your question, the Complete Cookie is ****ing delicious

I used to own generic Chinese stand like these that cost me about $40 (in China), so can imagine they might be similar to the $60-80 ones you mention.

They were extremely low quality and not a tight fit pretty much anywhere, everything felt very wonky and as if it could fall apart any moment. Especially since I am tall, and the higher you make them, the more unstable they get. That being said, it did its job fine even at the highest setting and I never ran into any problems up to ~140kg. It's just cheap **** that feels like cheap ****.

Looked like this:

ETA: Thinking about it, at lower settings they did feel a lot more reliable. If you're in for the long term and can miss the extra $100 I would just get the better ones. And hope that they are in fact better.

I did the opposite for 20 years, I got that covered.

Compared to what? Are you saying you'd choose it over real cookies?
06-01-2017 , 08:56 PM
Yep. Give me the calories but with excellent taste and better nutrition. I am also a freak and a weird dude tho so ymmv.
06-01-2017 , 09:08 PM
We giving out that status to anyone now? Everyone loves you, you can't be a freak and a very weird dude too.
06-01-2017 , 09:20 PM
Yeah, I think you have to be a freak and weird for that status. Just being an elf and holding your nose when you jump in water doesn't really qualify.
06-01-2017 , 09:21 PM
Sure you can. It was more a throwback joke than serious self-deprecation anyway.
06-01-2017 , 09:28 PM
fakeb, you have to remember that Yugo's ontology requires taking such self-deprecating jokes quite seriously, and using them to drive needlessly elaborate personal introspectbearding, and Syn has intentionally had a ladyboy's quasi-empty bag in his face.

Trusting either of them to correctly parse emotion and read sarcasm is a fool's errand.
