Still here!!! I have a couple minutes before my meeting so I'll give you cliffs on what's up.

Hmmm so for the month of July, I did a biking challenge in work and in the end I biked 6 days per week for the entire month. Not to shabbay. I also did my strength training during that time too.

Sister is living with me and it has put my schedule to ****. Not her fault but mine. She and I fought just last night about how I work out too much (I obviously do not.) my point is I'm grown, i can workout however much I want but regardless I am not doing too much.

In fact, I'm doing less than before she moved in.

Weight - by mid July I was down 2 lbs and thrilled. by end of july I am UP almost 3 lbs for the month. Coincidentally (not) I stopped logging my food in MFP for the last 2 weeks of July.

I got lazy.

Obviously I can eyeball food pretty accurately but when I actually LOG it, I think twice about putting empty calories in my mouth.

Also, I got complacent about carbs once I stopped logging them. I didn't BINGE, but ate **** that I normally do not. A bite of cheese cake, a cookie, etc.

I've been so busy I put 2+2 and MFP on the back burner and I gained 3 lbs. Not the end of the world but I haven't accomplished what I set out to do yet.

I need to get back to it for me, for accountability. I was at the gym last night until 10:15 after sis told me my body needed to rest. I'm trying hard to be accommodating to her during what is a very difficult time for her, but I find myself wanting to jump down her throat, tell her to STFU, and keep her food and workout advice to herself. That would be bad though.

Thank you Cha! I still haven't signed up with Tony yet. I go on vacation next week and the week after that is Foxwoods, but it's still on the table after that.

Your Spidey sense is right on track, whore! But I think I'm through it and I'm back. It only cost me 3 lbs.

Chop, you're vandalizing just for moi! Nah, it wasn't you cuz MY NAME WAS SPELLED CORRECTLY.

In other news, I broke my toe last night. In my room, getting dressed, like an idiot. I tripped while pulling off work clothes and jammed my toe into the bed leg. It's taped to it's buddy toe and doesn't hurt too badly so long as I don't wear real shoes.

I worked out afterwards anyway biatches! #imback

Welcome back! I started to worry you became another statistic in accidental domestic gun related fatalities but glad to hear that's not the case.

rAv,

You crack me up. I was almost a statistic but because of motivation and apathy but I'm back baby!

I've been away....for starters we rented (2) cottages on a lake in Maine in the middle of nowhere. More on that later, but it was one cottage for the adults and one cottage for my son, his girlfriend and his friends. I paid for both thinking it would be better to have them close but not too close. It was fine but a ton of work to feed them all. I didn't quite realize that my son would fill the cottage up with young men who eat a lot! Holy ****! All I did was cook all day. Okay and tanned, swam, kayaked, hiked and imbibed too.

In fact, I'm a badass re: kayaking. My muscles came into good use. We went on an 8 mile jaunt down the Sacco River and I kept having to slow down so the others could keep up. Only one kid kept up with me the whole way. But I digress...

The day after I got back from Maine was Alf's memorial.

Sister is still living with me.

The WSOP circuit event came to Foxwoods and so did I. Fabulous time as always...had a couple of stalkers to deal with. Not really stalkers per se, but they were following me around and they know me but I didn't know them. Par for the course with my tweeting about FW and all though....and nice enough.

Sad to say at the end of my trip I was about $50-60. That's it. I won plenty at cash and didn't put that many hours into it. Then I spent those winnings on tourneys that I did invest a lot of time in. Grrr.

Oh wait, this is H&F, right? I've been back at the gym for the past 3 days. Prior to that I went about 3 weeks without setting foot inside. I must be a house then, right?

no, no, no!

I've been amping up my activity - walking a lot, hiking, stretching and really watching my food intake. I was up 3-4 lbs and I'm not anymore. Back to my all time low, weight wise, which I love.

But I'm back at the gym. I am not quite as strong as I was a month ago, but I figure I'll get back there soon enough. It's amazing how ****ing good it felt to lift again. Endorphins are real, my friends!

Hmmm, what else? My birthday was last week. I'm even older now, so I have that going for me. My baby boy goes back to college on Sept 3rd. That's when I ramp up the lifting in earnest.

Hmmmm, what else? I'm thinking of starting a Poker Vlog. Like on You-Tube and shiat. Trying to talk a friend of mine into doing all the producing/editing of it. I think it would be hugely popular considering there ain't much competition out there, but then again I'm a legend in my own mind.

So there you have it. I'm back and I'm staying. I still want to take my body to the next level and I know it takes hard work, time and prioritizing it. It's time.

Hmmmm

I haven't been tracking my food on MFP for quite a while. I started it back up yesterday. I made an effort to make better choices yesterday and was pretty sure I was around 1200 cals for the day but nope! So if yesterday was 1478 it makes me wonder just how many cals I've been consuming while my head was in the sand.

And btw I'm taking my head out of the sand. Logging my food, good, bad or indifferent. I stopped posting my food logs because they're the most boring food logs I've ever read. Then, I stopped logging because I wasn't posting them anyway, and "ive got this." It is just easier for me to eat more if I turn a blind eye to it and since I know this I need to adjust. So expect those boring food logs again!

Last night's convo with my sister:

Me: I'm logging in mfp again and I'm already over 1,300 calories.
Her: You don't need to reduce your calories to lose weight.
Me: LOL
Her: Well...
Me: That's EXACTLY what you need to do.
Her: Well, not as much as you do.
Me: Only way to lose weight is to limit calories and increase movement.
Her: eyeroll

She'd just come back from a doctor's visit and was down 3 lbs from her lowest prev weight. She weighs...203 lbs. (shhh)

She's lost 20-30lbs in the past 2 years and she's only 4 lbs away from being in the one hundreds!!!! Huge milestone. Please she's going to California at the end of the month.

I see no reason why she can't be in the one hundreds for her vacay and she agreed! I'm going to be her motivation to eat less and move more...as in daily walks. She doesn't work and has just been staying home a lot.

So last night after dinner I insisted we go on a walk for 2K steps. Done! Then I went to the gym.

Hurricane Josie, what does your sister do to lose weight? Seems like she's at least moderately successful at it.
