Def worth the time investing in learning all the intricacies and nuances if you happen to find a juicy game. But I wouldn't seek out a game by any means. Not like I would with PLO.

Here is a pretty absurd hand from earlier this week that would just never work in a normal Big O game.

I'm in the BB with A368Jss and nobody raises so we take a flop 7 ways. It comes 689r. Pretty bad hand for me, just bottom 2 and 2nd nut low draw. I have some good cards that can come for my hand but I'm not going to be calling any bets on this flop. But it gets checked around. Well the turn brings a 4 and I sort of just impulsively bet $20. Probably spewy but I wasn't getting much of a vibe of strength from anyone, I get a few calls from what feels like draws, and the river brings a 7, completing the rainbow. I check the next player pots it 135 and the player next to him immediately pots it to 540, and it's folded back to me

Now normally this is just the easiest fold ever, straight to the muck to brainer no problem. But I'm thinking about the hand over and over. I've played a lot with these two guys and I'm really pretty certain that neither has nut/nut and I don't think either has A2. But it's still a pretty dumb spot. I have $25 invested and I'm facing a bet of $540 with cheesy high and 2nd nut low. But I was just so certain that neither had A2 so I sucked it up and called. The other player called and we went to show down. The guy who raised to $540 had the naked nut straight and the guy who overcalled had 3rd nut low, second nut straight, so I was able to earn over $300 by calling on the river.

Would be pretty insane to try and do something that stupid in a normal game.

Ok I got out and lifted today for 41 minutes.

I slept like crap (had to get stuff done in the middle of the day when I'm normally sleeping) and I played racquetball for an hour before hand. I couldn't figure out why I was so tired but oh well.

Here is what my workout today looked like:

Right Toe Touch Crunches BW x 34
Chin Ups BW x 6
Left Toe Touch Crunches BW x 34
Chin Ups BW x 6
Flutter Kicks BW x 78
Pull Ups BW x 4
Full Plank BW x 90 seconds
Back Extensions BW x 10
Back Extensions BW x 10
Back Extensions BW x 10
Back Extensions BW x 10
Back Extensions BW x 10

Afterwards I had my milk and jerky meal.

I also hit 25 putts today.

Yesterday I shot a -7 at a course beating my previous best by quite a bit.

I also hit an ace! So I collected $275 for my disc golfing yesterday.

Alright, got out and finished off my lifting today. Was kinda lame. I'm still dragging a bit from a lack of sleep and probably not enough calories but I'll be ok.

Here is what today looked like for me:

Squat 255 x 5
Squat 190 x 4
Dumbbell Press 47.5 x 4
Dumbbell Press 35 x 10
Skull Crushers 35 x 11
Bent over barbell rows 140 x 10
Barbell shrugs 190 x 10
Seated dumbbell curls 35 x 10
Forearm curls 35 x 10

Pretty disappointed I only got 4 reps on the OHP but it was tweaking my back in a weird way so I didn't try for the 5th rep.

Had my jerky and Fairlife milk after to meet the protein requirements as well. Actually finished off my supply of sweet and spicy brisket jerky, now I've got one more flavor left before I'll switch up my protein sources.

I made another 15 putts today. The last 5 or so felt really good. My release has been extremely smooth but my power is lacking a little bit.

Now I'm off to try and defend my title at the disc golf course.

Had another solid (winning) day of disc golf yesterday on my way to profiting over $400 between the two days.

Yesterday my putting was actually really bad for the first hour or so before I finally got it going later on and hit a few 50'+ putts to cement some victories. What bailed me out early was that so many of my drives were pure and I didn't even have to putt, just tap it on in.

Today I got out and did some field work. My form is still really bad but I'm throwing farther than ever.

After that I got home and knocked in 50 putts in under 30 minutes.

One of these days I'll have to get out and see how fast I can do 100 putts.

New week!

I finished last week pretty far under calories. Not by dedsign! I was planning on finishing off my day with a blizzard but something came up and I didn't end up eating anything and then did a bunch of running around so I finished way under calories. Which made me a little sad but it's a big net positive I'm sure.

Today I got out and lifted for 83 minutes.

Here is what it looked like:

Low Bar Back Squat 235 x 5
Sit-ups BW x 35
Low Bar Back Squat 235 x 5
Crunches BW x 35
Low Bar Back Squat 235 x 5
Elbow Plank BW x 110 seconds
Low Bar Back Squat 235 x 5
Right Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 35
Low Bar Back Squat 235 x 5
Left Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 35
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Right Heel Touch Crunches BW x 35
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Left Heel Touch Crunches BW x 35
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Mountain Climbers BW x 48
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Leg Raises BW x 23
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Bicycle crunches BW x 44
Deadlift 325 x 5

Notes: Squats were fine. Bench was so insanely hard I'm actually not sure how I even got all the reps. And the DL was surprisingly easy. Banged out the whole set in about 30 seconds.

Afterward I had my FairLife milk and Jerky PWO meal, this time it was teriyaki brisket jerky.

Now I'm off to get some more exercises, get some more steps and do some disc golf practice.

I got pretty burned out doing all the work for the channel and it wasn't getting very much growth so we just sort of gave up on it.

Anyway, got out and lifted today for 82 minutes.

Here is what today looked like:

Low Bar Back Squat 190 x 5
Right Side Plank BW x 75 seconds
Low Bar Back Squat 190 x 5
Left Side Plank BW x 75 seconds
High Bar Back Squat 190 x 5
Right Cross Leg Diagonal Crunch BW x 35
Front Squat 190 x 3
Left Cross Leg Diagonal Crunch BW x 35
Squat Lockouts 365 x 5
Right Leg Donkey Kickbacks BW x 35
Dumbbell Press 37.5 x 5
Left Leg Donkey Kickbacks BW x 35
Dumbbell Press 37.5 x 5
Russian Medicine Ball Swings 25 x 35
Dumbbell Press 37.5 x 5
Right Toe Touch Crunches BW x 35
Chin Ups BW x 7
Left Toe Touch Crunches BW x 35
Chin Ups BW x 7
Flutter Kicks BW x 80
Pull Ups BW x 4
Full Plank BW x 95 seconds
Back Extensions BW x 5 x 11

Super solid workout today. I still gotta figure out how to not get so much pain from front squats but I'm glad I got all the reps in. I was pretty happy with my 2 sets of chin ups hitting 7 reps. I should have hit more pull ups but I messed up and had my grip too narrow. Great workout and sweat in the 100 degree heat.

Afterward I had my jerky and FairLife PWO meal.

I've hit 35 putts so far this week.

Kinda slacking there but I'll knock a bunch more out this week.

Now off to burn more calories, get more steps, and do some field work.

Thanks. It seems like most everyone said it was good, but ultimately nobody really watched it (at least in YouTube numbers).

Got out and lifted today. Mostly assistance work. Took me about 46 minutes.

Here is what it looked like:

RDLs 195 x 10
Situps BW x 35
Right Leg Deadlifts 145 x 10
Crunches BW x 35
Left Leg Deadlifts 145 x 10
Elbow Plank BW x 110 seconds
Rack Pulls 225 x 10
Bent Over Rows 145 x 10
Barbell Shrugs 195 x 10
Bent Over Rows 145 x 10
Barbell Shrugs 195 x 10

Had my jerky and milk PWO.

Off to try and get the belt back playing disc golf.

Alright, got out and finished off my lifting today. Just a brief workout, here is what it looked like:

Squat 260 x 5
Squat 195 x 10
Bench 195 x 4
Bench 155 x 10

And now, a bit of a rant.

I went to bed last night and my neck started hurting really bad. Super frustrating. It felt ok when I woke up but now, after lifting it hurts again. And this time it's different. Just really painful. And I don't mind working out in the heat but the sweat is dripping into my eyes making it really difficult to stay outside. I tried to do some putting and knocked a bunch in. But it took foreverrr and I was making probably just 15% or so. And the SWEAT. Ugh just super frustrating to miss most of the putts, have sweat dripping into my contacts in my eyes and have my neck hurting for seemingly no good reason. I'm sure being on a calorie deficit doesn't help, and hardly sleeping at all the last few days doesn't help either. Plus I didn't hit a set of 5 on my bench intensity.

I dunno. I'm gonna have to mix it up somehow. I might just go over my weekly calories, maybe I'll try and snag 12 hours of sleep tonight. Either way I'm pretty grumpy right now, hopefully it will pass soon, I'm sure it will. Then I'll be back to my chipper self.

Welp, I incurred my first fine in a while. Ate really disciplined all week and then went to a party on Saturday and lost my mind. It was catered by a really good BBQ place and even though I don't hardly know how many calories I ate I probably went over my allotment for the entire weekend in just pulled pork, pulled chicken and ribs. And that's not including all the sides or pie or beer that I ended up consuming. I'd say... worth it!

Anyway, back to the grind today. Today is an abbreviated week since I'll be out of town Friday/Saturday/Sunday so I'll have to squeeze all my stuff in to these few days. Which will be fine. It'll be nice getting in a solid 4 day push before heading out of town.

Here is what today looked like for me:

Low Bar Back Squat 240 x 5
Sit-ups BW x 36
Low Bar Back Squat 240 x 5
Crunches BW x 36
Low Bar Back Squat 240 x 5
Elbow Plank BW x 115 seconds
Low Bar Back Squat 240 x 5
Right Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 36
Low Bar Back Squat 240 x 5
Left Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 36
Dumbbell Press 45 x 5
Right Heel Touch Crunches BW x 36
Dumbbell Press 45 x 5
Left Heel Touch Crunches BW x 36
Dumbbell Press 45 x 5
Mountain Climbers BW x 50
Dumbbell Press 45 x 5
Leg Raises BW x 24
Dumbbell Press 45 x 5

Squats were ok. Felt heavy but doable. I tweaked my knee trying to shove it out on the last set and it didn't feel good on the last few reps but I think it's ok. My ankle is still screwed up and painful but at least I can still do everything. My OHP was pretty tough, I'm pretty week. I messed up my neck doing something this week and re-injured in on one of the OHP sets. But whatever I'll survive.

I made 18 putts while I was lifting.

I got pretty irritated during my lift because aside from my nagging injuries the sun was beating down me so harshly that the sweat was non-stopp dripping right into the contacts in my eyes and I was so wet and I couldn't always get a good grip on the bar.

But I won the belt back yesterday so I am the current disc golf champ. Off to do more feild work!

Internet hasn't been working so I'll just do a quick update. Today was my 3rd day in a row of 60 minute workouts, gonna do one more workout of 60 minutes tomorrow to complete my lifting for the week before heading out of town.

I've made just over 60 putts so far so I've got about 40 more to go.

Now off to make some salad.

Alright, final workout of the week. Here is what I did today:

Squat 265x5
Squat 200x10
Dumbbell Press 50x5
Dumbbell Press 37.5x10
Deadlift 335x3

I did some other random accessory work to fill in the empty spaces. Pretty happy with my lifts until I hit the DL set. Due to start position, the sweat was just a river pouring into my contacts and stinging my eyes pretty badly. Gonna have to figure this out.

But solid other than that.

I made 20 more putts so I just need to make 20 more over the course of the weekend. Hopefully I do them in competitive rounds!

Today I had tuna and fairlife milk to hit my protein requirements.

Used one of my headbands today, def an improvement. Although it wasn't quite as hot out so who knows what'll happen when it gets back to 116.

Got another fine last week. I'm actually not sure if I incurred it but I'm paying it anyway. I know I hit roughly 80 putts in practice but I lost track of the other random ones and didn't do a good job keeping track. But I didn't putt very well this weekend so I deserve the fine either way.

Today I got out and lifted again. What a grind today was. I was out of town all weekend and haven't slept much in quite a few days. I was hoping to get caught up some but didn't even catch 6 hours last night and I felt it today. Tough plodding.

Here is what my 72 minute workout today looked like:

Low Bar Back Squat 245 x 5
Sit-ups BW x 37
Low Bar Back Squat 245 x 5
Crunches BW x 37
Low Bar Back Squat 245 x 5
Elbow Plank BW x 120 seconds
Low Bar Back Squat 245 x 5
Right Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 37
Low Bar Back Squat 245 x 5
Left Arm High Partial Sit-ups BW x 37
Bench Press 177.5 x 5
Right Heel Touch Crunches BW x 37
Bench Press 165 x 5
Left Heel Touch Crunches BW x 37
Bench Press 165 x 5
Mountain Climbers BW x 52
Bench Press 165 x 5
Leg Raises BW x 25
Bench Press 165 x 5

Squats were heavy but fine. The bench press really bummed me out. I barely barely got the first set, felt like today's 5RM. So I dropped 12.5 pounds off and pushed through the remaining sets.

I was able to hit 25 putts though, that's a good start to the week.

Now off to do fieldwork.

I bought out for the last few days of my current calorie bet. Still on track to do everything else and I'll be starting new goals on Tuesday. I like shooting for ~6 week plans because that seems to be working pretty well.

Here is what my 72 minute workout looked like today:

Low Bar Back Squat 200 x 5
Right Side Plank BW x 85 seconds
Low Bar Back Squat 200 x 5
Left Side Plank BW x 85 seconds
High Bar Back Squat 200 x 5
Right Cross Leg Diagonal Crunch BW x 37
Front Squat 200 x 5
Left Cross Leg Diagonal Crunch BW x 37
Squat Lockouts 375 x 5
Right Leg Donkey Kickbacks BW x 37
Dumbbell Press 40 x 5
Left Leg Donkey Kickbacks BW x 37
Dumbbell Press 40 x 5
Russian Medicine Ball Swings 25 x 38
Dumbbell Press 40 x 5
Right Toe Touch Crunches BW x 37
Chin Ups BW x 7
Left Toe Touch Crunches BW x 37
Chin Ups BW x 6
Flutter Kicks BW x 82
Pull Ups BW x 3
Full Plank BW x 50 seconds

Started off really good but I was fatigued by the end. But the important stuff was pretty easy so that's good.

Hit 25 more putts so I'm halfway through my putt goal.

Monday I ate some tuna and milk for my protein requirements. Today I'm just gonna stop and get something on my way to practice some disc golf.

Hey SM I was just thinking about you!

So the other night I took a walk while I was playing cards and saw this teeny tiny kitten just sitting there in the parking lot in the heat. I called for it and much to my surprise she came running up to me. I've probably tried that a few hundred times in my life with cats and never had one come up to me. Well, we took her home and adopted her.

She was just 11 ounces and had an upper respiratory infection. But we got her on meds and fed her a lot and she started to get better.

She's still very small but tons of energy and always wanting to play.

It was a little hectic with the doggo because he just wanted to eat her but after careful supervision they are now friends and play all the time.

She plays a lot and sleeps a lot

She loves her new home and new friends

A very sweet kitty.

Well, got out and lifted today for about 51 minutes. I started off doing some warm up DL work before attempting a heavy set but the bar wouldn't even budge, even when I dropped 30 pounds off and tried it again. So I spent the rest of my lifting session doing various DL accessory work. I didn't log it, just did everything I could think of that might help be bang out the sets next time.

I knocked out 25 more putts.

Now I'm gonna do some more fieldwork and get some protein on my way out there before playing racquetball.

Ah cool I'm glad you liked playing. Were you able to throw over 200'? I'd sure love to play with you soon while there is something I'm better than you at. But I'm sure that window will close soon.

Today I got out and lifted for a bit. I came up a little short on my lifting time requirements so I'll have to pay a small fine if I don't squeeze in a short session this weekend. Probably just a quick BW routine of pushups and situps will do the trick.

I have a few more long putts to hit to be official but it should be no problem.

Got out and played a couple rounds today. I played pretty well, I putt pretty well and was able to scoop a few dollars and bring the title back home. I only shot 1 off my personal best and I should have tied my record but botched an upshot pretty early in the round. But I did have some good birdie putts so it goes both ways.

Over 200: No way, Jose. Idk how to throw. Seems like something I can pick up with a little more practice though. Maybe I hit like 150-175 once or twice? Idk. I see why you putt a lot, seems v important.
