You're getting quite a bit of knee cave (particularly visible in the 2nd vid), you really need to shove those knees out hard once you start to come out of the hole.

Try to straighten your wrists so that you are not bearing any weight on you arms.

Pack your neck back into the bar, and do your best to keep your chest up more as the sets progress.

Sorry, I occaisionally do ghetto GHRs on the seat of a lat pull down, and they seem useful. Perhaps PM Cha, he is getting a GHR machine so im sure he knows a bit about the exercise!

okay i wanna get shoes and dont really wanna spend a lot like around 70-80. I wanna get the wei-rui warrior but maxbarbell has been out forever. Does anyone know where to get something similar? Also I was looking at the elitefts stronger black lever belt, but people were saying the sizing was weird. I wear 38-40 so I thought xl would work, but don't want to buy the wrong one.

http://www.flexcart.com/members/elit...d=299&pid=5514 thats the link for the belt.

Also want to know everyone's opinions on straps. Do I need em? Are they cheating?

You don't need them. They are useful if your grip is giving out before you have gotten a training effect from DLs, but it is best if you do as many as possible without them, then strap up when grip fails. They are also useful if your grip is fried after DLs but still want to do rows, shrugs etc.

If you never intend to compete in powerlifting, then there is no reason not to use them often.

imo, good pair of shoes is crucial, everything else is secondary.

Aidan covered it on the straps.

Okay, read a bit more about straps and belts. Seems useless for me given my current needs and goals. Shoes are super crucial soon, also chalk. So nowhere else really sells shoes that aren't adidas/million dollars?

What dissuaded you from getting a belt?

Reebok offers some crossfit/oly shoes that might meet your requirements. You can see some options/reviews at http://wlshoes.com/

Read some of the stuff in the beginner thread, that basically said you don't need one if you're keeping your abs tight. It's not to say I don't want a belt. The hierarchy of wants goes shoes>chalk>>>>>>>>>belt>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>straps>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>manta ray(jklolz!!!!!)

whats your price range? I think the Adidas PowerLift would be a solid option for you.

the powerlifts are at the top of my price range. Will probably just get them cause I'm annoyed with the warriors being out of stock forever.
