Depends what you mean by decent really. If you mean being able to do all the events without falling over, then a few practices. If you mean be a competitive amateur, the probably a few seasons. Obv there are a ton of extraneous factors (height, weight, strength, power, background, who is helping you, etc, etc...) that make a
huge difference.
