There are a zillion reasons why I would want to goto a CF gym that don't include listening to some dildo who knows little to nothing, but paid a few hundred and took a weekend of his time to get a level one cert watch over 17 people do exercises that resemble an abortion of their intended form and then ramble on about my goals or how awesome CF is.

dave i have an NASM CPT, its decent, much better than the other leading organizations imo. they have a lot of good stuff on dealing with people who are deconditioned and/or have medical conditions. some of their stuff is a little off, their squat form recommendations are dubious for example, but overall its definitely the most scientifically based of the bunch, they seem to keep up to date with new developments, i was pleased to see the virtues of foam rolling and dynamic stretching lauded in the textbook and as part of their protocol(and no standing on a bosu ball doing curls).

i'm sure there are tons of idiots who passed the exam(even though its relatively tough), but there is some really good info especially on the technical side. very scientific and structured, overall i think its a good(and safe) model

35 pounds an hour is roughly the rate where I work. Compare it to the membership fee of 50 quid a month and I reckon it seems expensive-ish.

Are you with anyone else, or have you talked to anyone else with a decent cert with anyone else?

I know that NCSM blows everyone else out of the water, but that requires a 4 year education. But yeah, I decided on NASM after looking through other sites and getting bochures from other places.

There seemed to be a few good ones for people that may be looking for someone who is expert in a very small niche, such as olympic body-building, but I degress.

I figure there are some idiots who passed, but I can't see anyone who is interested in using a PT not doing a general interview. If I am more knowlegeable than my PT, there is definitely something wrong.

I don't know whether I get more enjoyment from watching thremp rage against everything or watching other rage against thremp... probably the latter... thremp's posts are always too long and have too many of those big word dealies...
