I need advice on sleeping pills. Don't ask me how it happened, but i'm very worried that my body is regulated to fall asleep at 6am right now. I'm one of those people whos body seems to stick very rigidly with this pattern and i will hardly ever fall asleep before this time. I'm worried tomorrow because i have my first day of work which requires me to wake up at 7, a cricket match immediately afterwards, then a family gathering all of which will see me up until 12am earliest. I can't skip any of these events.

Can i take a sleeping pill at say, 10pm today to ensure i have enough energy to get through the day tomorrow? The idea of no sleep really worries me. I've never done a day on no sleep before when i've had important things to do. However i'm a little concerned about the side effects and whether it will even really work. I've never taken one before, or any drugs really. I am hoping it can be a one off.

Honestly sleeping pills arent that extreme lol

I just finished working a 16 hour shift after being awake 12 hours. It's now 6:13 am and im waking up at 1pm to start another 16 hour shift at 2pm.

I just took a sleeping pill and ill be out like a light in 10 minutes.

To answer your question, yes you'll be fine

one time it is OK. But it really must not became a habit. If it is something from bezodiazephines -> they are highly addictive.

I find that I can handle one day on little sleep. It's two days in a row where the bother starts. Even when you are lying awake you are resting. If you have a poor night's sleep, then the next night you can go to bed at a normal time and probably sleep very well. I'm a bit put off doing the sleeping tablet thing like this as I tried it once years ago, didn't sleep that we'll and was groggy in the morning so didn't perform we'll for my important event. It totally depends on the type of tablet of course.
