All the Leaphorn and Chee books by Tony Hillerman. I haven't read all of these yet but I'm close. Dude is a fantastic writer. These are up there as well for me.
Just read Dashiell Hammett's 5 novels (red harvest, the dain curse, the maltese falcon, the glass key, and the thin man). I think dude is overrated. The Dain Curse and The Thin Man were my favorites out of this.

Nice, havent heard of any of this, ty.

That's about it. I'll eventually read Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, etc etc. My mom has most of the stuff.
I guess you could call the girl with the dragon tattoo books murder mysteries, and those are also incredible.

Im a Sherlock fan, but most of them are just short stories so they end too quickly. Agatha...mehhhhhh. Best part of a murder mystery to me is the creative way its solved, and seriously, Agatha Christie novels just has the detective guessing correctly half the time.
GWDT series is awesome and I hope they get a 4th out someday

Yeah that's what I was skeptical about, re: what does he actually mean by bulking? If he means the typical Rippetoe Rippetard bulk, then obv. I guess it's basically impossible to be skeptical about a more moderate 10-25% surplus bulk w/enough brotein/non-retarded macros though. I so, so, so wish someone would have tried to hammer that into my head when I started at like 17-18% BF and Rippetowned myself.

For you guys who love murder mysteries, apparently the new Sherlock series is amazing. Planning to see it myself after returning from USA#1. Funnily enough both of my road trip friends and many of my FB friends have taken to using the phrase way more than I do. Such a trendsetter I am.

Re: *** HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA #1 JULY LC THREAD***
Since I'm stalling trying to fit 16 wine bottles into a suitcase without going over the weight limit, O/U on what my squat, bench and DL will be when I get back? I did 3x5x225 for squats 11 days ago in Redding (fairly easy), 3x5x175 for bench (kinda hard), haven't DL'ed for 4 weeks, did 7x275 then. Did a bro workout at my hotel in SF about a week ago with some DBs and machines.

Just do the same weights as whatever you did on the last workout IMO.
Confirmed CA has a love affair with tri tip, people on the east coast don't even know what it is. Redneck staple food.
16 bottles of wine in a suitcase is greedy, you should take 4 in your stomach

Plus you would be tilted if your avatar went to your rival and your GOAT shooter bailed on you to go play center for the Heat

Yeah this series is very well done. I've only seen season 1, which is 3 90-minutes episodes, but I highly recommend it so far. Great writing, great acting, smart, gripping, and suspenseful.
For those who don't know, the series is set it modern day London, but the plot and feel of the original stories is still there. Kind of the opposite of the ****ty movies which were set in the original time period but didn't maintain the integrity of the source material and sucked to high heaven.

Apparently the second season aired on PBS in May, so the 70-year-olds itt have undoubtedly seen it already

Little known fact, I was in an agatha christie poirot play back around junior high age. Sherlock > Poirot > ms marple

yeah basically not many good reasons to go above 15% BF while gaining as a natural. If you're not becoming a lineman or throwing shotput it isn't helpful. There's lots of advice that says just eat eat eat and then diet it off in a few weeks and you'll be hyuge, but now I see how retarded and/or steroid-centric that view is, and that type of advice seems to have tempered in the last few years.
