Concept2 rowing machine (seems to be the standard around gyms).

Yes, 1 1/4 miles.

fwiw, I reckon that is probably about what my running time for 1 1/4 miles would be too.

Haven't ran in a while, but I'll see if I can set the bar for the 100m and/or 400m tomorrow. I used to be pretty fast, so I'll see if I can work back to that. I'll def film it for verification. See if we can get this rolling.

Ooo ok, My gym does not have any type of rowing machine. That seems pretty good if you can row as fast as you an run. I don't really know though.

Yeah lol, I pretty much have no idea if that is good or not... I just know I get gassed about the same if I run a km in 4min and if I row a km in 4min ^_^

i thought more about it and i think it's better if they're just highly encouraged.

This seems very advanced, tbh. 10 mins of snatching a 32 kg bell is like the ultimate snatch test, isn't it? http://fitnessyoucanuse.com/SSST.html

And I don't know if everyone has doubles of every weight. I e.g. don't have a 2nd 24 or 32 kettlebell.

I'd suggest the SSST or the standard RKC qualification test for time for starters. these should be hard enough for most people.

then I'd suggest the metcon circles that came up in KPC's log already.

Don't know about videotaping. As long as you can't win a title by being on top of the leaderboard, noone will cheat, hopefully. That might be naive though. Or someone might just bench with a limited ROM and put on more weight. But videotaping in my gym needs some infrastructure like going early/late, maybe a buddy etc.

I'd def. suggest that the 1RMs and 5RMs are somewhat adjusted for BW/height or something. I know that anklebreaker squats 2xbw and dls 2.5xbw. No offense, but that leaderboard might be pretty boring

I just watched what a burpee mile is. We could have this or a less extreme burbee 1/4 mile. Might be fun probably doable in 20 min or less for the more in shape people

I'm loathe to include this because so few people here use gear.

Had an idea:

Instead of splitting up the categories into tons of weight classes, training exp. etc. I thought instead for some things we can have a "XXXXX club". Like, 2xbw DL club, muscle up club, 1.5xbw power clean club etc. etc. Basically maybe 5-10 random achievements that are hard, based on something like bodyweight so more attainable, and also unlikely to by themselves warrant a top 3. Anyway, just a thought. Tell me what you guys think. Anything to get more posters involved without becoming preteen soccer.

Also, I want to reiterate if you do a PR in a workout or something and it's not listed, just post it in this thread. Worst that will happen is I won't make it a category.

Lazy ****s start submitting ****tttttt. You know you guys don't want to see 5x130lb Press SmileyEH up there for more than about 5 minutes.

Excellent. I probably won't be able to do the 100m run time today guess I'll save it for tomorrow.

Oh I was also wondering about a standing jump category. Like standing and jumping onto a platform xxinches without any running. Here is a pretty sweet but extreme example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGwFCMPO29s

If you guys want to do this I am 95% sure I can jump onto a 36" platform, I'll verify with video sometime over the next couple days.

(95% sure meaning I could do it a few months ago, should still be able to, maybe higher)

lol flip-flops. crazy

I'm planning on doing a snatch test this weekend. Probably the 10mins, because the RKC one doesn't allow one to put down the bell for more than 1 sec.

Johnny, I'd fully support such a category as I did a 50" jump my first try a couple months ago.

Boooo

But yeah it's one of the few things that's easier than it sounds. I actually won a bunch of money doing it once. I used to work at a restaurant and I bet everyone that I could stand and jump on the counter. Literally everyone working that day took action against me. It ended up being like an extra 70 bucks for me. I think we should get this one going because it looks pretty cool on video. But good luck for me doing anything +40 inches right now.

I really like the idea of doing this whiteboard. It's great for someone like me who lurks and has a ton of respect for you guys.

Thanks for doing this smileyEH.

31 dips
315 lb bench press

Probably the only two that I have a chance of being anywhere near the top 3 on. Don't have a log or a video camera though. Also I'm 195 lbs bodyweight if that matters.

I've been lifting weights for years, but I've just always neglected lower body stuff(I did typical 3 x 10 workouts of bench/curls/etc.). Thats why my bench is so high, yet my deadlifts and squats pale in comparison(not sure about ORM but I do worksets of 1 x 5 x 335 on deads and 3 x 5 x 290 on squats). As I said above max bench and dips are "probably the only two that I have a chance of being anywhere near the top 3 on".
