Guy near sixty (he said so) casually engaged me in conversation while I was between sets. Seemed nice enough, then he said he had spent some time in Kuwait. According to him, "We should have just nuked them long ago." I'm not about to politics up in here, but I did say hey, sorry to cut you off, but I have a prior engagement. See ya.

Maybe Freddbird has some thoughts about the correlation between multiple squat days and pussyhood.

not sure why you are bringing up special short-term routines which aren't even manageable for lots of people(to ensure enough regeneration lots of sleep and a very high kcal surplus is necessary, also not doable when playing sports)

his buddy being confused about the 3x legs work-outs isn't lol worthy at all

well he works out all other body parts at least twice a week and legs never more then once.

I didnt just bring up short term routines, and the reason I brought up multiple programs - beginner, intermediate and advanced, in addition to a general philosophy of training squats EVERY day (Broz), not to mention the way Weasel (highest powerlifting total in a meet in this forum, whose program written by this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrGIh84HBzg) trains, is because you said this:

which is lol-worthy.

My point in response to that is lots of good beginner, intermediate, advanced and elite lifters squat 3 or more times a week.

fwiw, I squat once a week because I'm old and fragile.

Ignoring half of your body, seems like the smarter thing to do.

At the very least bang out some light weight stuff, or do the opposite and do some singles and doubles.

Regarding squatting, I don't see how there is any confusion about this topic. A proper squat program has you squatting at most one heavy day out of the week. If you NEED to squat more than that to satisfy some mental deficiency, try incorporating a medium and light day. But more than that is asking for a lower back injury. You're kind of already asking for an injury by doing free-standing barbell squats in the first place, but I know in forums like these there is an undeserved stigma against the Smith machine.

how so?
legs 3x/week is excessive for a huge majority of people who lift heavy, exceptions don't make the rule.

Soulmen,

Not as of yet. I applied for a grant to fund a blog, and I suppose that could be used to fund a newsletter instead, but it has been slow going. I suspect the delays are part of an effort from the lifting and medical industry to keep me from sharing my expertise. They want you to keep getting injured. It's how they make their money. But listen to me. You can't get injured squatting if you don't squat. Most people reject this advice because it sounds too simple to be true, but it has given me a 100% success rate in preventing squat injuries.
