VO2max mask. not a good idea to use with weight lifting though.

Gas mas. Not a good idea to use one if you don't want to look like a douchebag.

fyp imo.

I say you let him snap his spine and hopefully he can't procreate.

THAT is natural selection.

guys, the spandex mini shorts guy I posted pics of a few pages ago came up to me today and asked me for my phone number. He has invited me to his 'sister's sister in law's' wedding tomorrow night!

Turns out this guy went to the same high school as me and that coupled with the fact that I helped him do his ridiculous leg press regimen, is enough reason for him to invite me to the wedding!

To go or not to go.... could me some top lels if I do end up there

I can say with 100% certainty that Indian weddings in India are completely insane and not to be missed.

(sample size of 1....also you are 1000x more qualified on this point than I am)

It was like he was doing a stiff legged good morning but his hips were tracking off to the side. It is hard to describe but he looked like a pretzel.

Walked into gym and normal sized bro (probably around 200 lbs) had 4 plates loaded on each side of the bar in the squat rack. I wasn't sure what exactly what we were going to get, but 4 plates is 4 plates, so some potential for something awesome, especially for this gym.

As you can probably guess the guy ended up doing some short ROM calf raises, which was a pretty big beat, but he still had 405 lbs on his back. I have never done a calf raise in my life, but I have had 405 lbs on my back, and it is pretty damn heavy, so this must be somewhat impressive? I am just not sure.

Doesn't sound impressive. I assume I can walk out 405 and do not much with it too and I haven't even squatted 315 yet.

Need video of this ASAP to confirm true meaning of assume.

Yeah, the one time I squatted 405 I was really surprised how hard the walk out was, although I don't remember the walk forward to re-rack being that hard. Of course, when I did that I had never even attempted more than 365 before, so part of it was probably my CNS just never being exposed to that kind of pressure before, even if my body could handle it.

Good news - I won't be doing this any time soon!

But yeah, I probably am way underestmating how heavy 405 is on my back. But I routinely see guys squatting a bunch more weight with very little ROM than they can earlier in their workout "only" 3 inches from parallel. If those guys can just slap on another 60lbs and do reps at less ROM, seems I should be able to slap on a lot more and simply stand there.

I regularly squat over 405 and know that I can handle 500 (hopefully will be able to squat it again soon), but I don't think my body could handle putting on an extra 95 lbs after that, even on just a walkout.

Confirmed not impressive in the least bit.

While we're here, I tried the hack squat machine for the first time this month because I am going to try to teach myself how to hack squat. I think you keep your heels as far high up on the platform as reasonable right?

No, you keep your feet (and your body) as far away from the machine as possible.

I have been working out at the Florida gyms the last month. I can confirm the Latinos and black dudes don't rerack their weights. Don't know what it is. But no worries I leave the gym in immaculate condition. The more racked weights the better. Even the leg press gets cleaned up.

Weird. When I go to the inlaws for the holidays the gym I go to is mostly Latino and black dudes and it is always completely disheveled. I also clean up everything before I leave.

Exactly. The only use for the hack squat machine is to provide moral dilemmas.

I see a lot of people doing squat into push press movements on the hack squat machine, you know with their hands on the shoulder rests and facing the wrong way, you could try that...
