I found a few UA products on sale and they're comfortable etc., but you wont find me rocking a compression shirt as outerwear. Compression shorts maybe.

LOL I like how the slogan for that super-expensive compression wear ($175 for a shirt!?!?) is "Skins: Beyond Reason."

I can't tell the difference, I don't think you can either.

Looking at the prices, that SteelStretch stuff really isn't that much cheaper than the Under Armor basics.

I guess my description wasn't exactly specific. They fit better(for me). The seams also feel rougher on my Nike compression shorts.

I've found the same. UA compression shorts are way more comfortable than other brands, including Nike and McDavid. The waste doesn't dig in, the material is smoother and I don't feel the seems.

With shirts and other products there isn't the same noticeable differences, but I do like their boxer briefs, very practical for wearing to work and then the gym. Just like anything else, UA products can be purchased on sale and their prices are competitive with other products, even generics.

I wear Reebok compression shorts for BJJ, very comfortable.

I was on the squat rack yesterday and two grad students grab the rack next to my friend and I.

The one has a weight belt on and takes the bar off like he is going to do deadlifts. With all of 115 on the bar he starts doing speed deadlifts. He must do at least 50 with the worst possible form and I am crying on the inside. His back is a complete U and he is tilted to one side. He gets done hands the weight belt to his friend and they change the 35s for 45s. The friend begins to do the same thing yet somehow has even worse form including going up on his toes to lockout (they talked about how this was important).

It was honestly dangerous. I had to try so hard not to laugh/cry.

this is a highly guarded secret in the advertising field, but companies can advertise for generic benefits...

Not once did I say price is better, nor that I go out and wear under armor stuff around. But as an active person, playing sports in winter, under armor is great. You nitpicking people wearing underarmor is hilarious though. Good try trying to mock me, it worked wonders.

Overheard while leaving the gym today, some older guy to his friend:

"Man, that standing calf machine [hack squat machine] was weird. At my gym I can put 120kg on there but here I put 30kg on and it felt so much harder because the cushions were in such a bad place."

Man I saw two workout BROSEPHS comin to the gym today. Obviously trading off sets is for pussies so they each decided to take up a power rack so no one else can use them and everyone will watch them get their swell on. They start off push pressing and grunting and counting out reps like UNO DOS TRES QUATRO (they were latino don't worry). Besides both of them taking up a rack it didn't really bother me much until they decided its GUNZ TIME.

GOTTA DO THESE BAD BOYZ IN THE POWER RACK YEAHHHH BRAH NICE SNAKES.

I went straight into OHP from squats using a rack, all 4 were filled. Guy motions to take off my headphones to ask how long im gonna be. I said a long time. He looked really disappointed so I asked, "alright what do u need it for?" planning on moving for something awesome. HE said, "Well I was gonna do curls" and i replied "dude you dont need the rack to do curls"

he got pissed and he is like "oh now your telling me what I need!" and i said whoa, just kidding man, work in.

I'll let the guy who speed walks in between reps of 95lbs front squats work in, but I'll be damned if I let some freak curl and taint the entire area with his bad juju.

Today I go to the gym and all three power/squat racks are in use which has probably never happened before in the history of the gym. Two were being used by girls who were supersetting squats with either seated rows or calf raises. Obv they can't use the same squat rack that'd be a travesty. Girls squatting vs pissed off at idiocy...tearing me up inside.

hahahaha, if I saw it this bad I wouldn't be able to resist laughing at them, why the hell can't they use the same power rack?!

from the floor if you have enough space for a barbell.

I do them off the pins on the outside of the rack but that is because there is usually no one else at the gym who uses the rack while I'm there. If someone did want to use the rack I would gladly move. There are plenty of places to do rows.

Depends on the gym, if it's a ****ty-ish gym like mine I have to use the squat rack for deadlifts e.g. - there is no room anywhere else for using a barbell on the floor. Ya rly.

This is the same in a gym I just found near me. They have a 'legs and back' room with 15 machines and 3 squat racks, but no floor space. They must have 20 barbells in the whole building, but only one set of clips, which you have to borrow from reception and leave a deposit. So freaking weird.

Would have been interesting to hear the owner explain that one. The amount of ******s in the world is just plain staggering.
