Down the shirt is teh winz - I have found I prefer going behind the arm as the wires then don't get in the way when I wipe my mouth after drinking.

I have some pretty ghetto earbuds, but they block out all the bull****

I forgot them on a business trip and had to try to train on Tuesday in a ****ty hotel gym with two total moron meatheads (whose awesome bicep circuit included was squatting low pulley curl, plate curl, seated curls, bent over concentration curls.

To cap it all off they around naked in the changing rooms talking about the burrrn and what they were going to work for the next few sessions (surprisingly Wed was chest and triceps day, then abs Thursday - in a startling deviation from international douchebag schedule Monday was back and legs).

for the ipod listeners, how are you holstering it? I have an arm band one, but I think it interferes with squatting and pressing.

I could put it in my pocket, but I only got side ones, so I would have to take it out for DLs and PCs.

hahaha the mix of horror and hilarity made me laugh pretty hard. Story about the delusional but self conscious lady was wonderful as well. A+ stuff I want more.

I have a sleeve for mine that has a belt clip on it.

can't find the pic but i have the older gen nano that is about 3x2.

i have a nylon case on it when i go to the gym that i clip to my wasteband and run the buds up through tanktop.

when i need to wear my dip belt, or do anything that requires excess waste movement i just clip it to the center of the neck of my tanktop until i get on to a different excercise.

i never had a problem with the stock earbuds either, they finally failed about 2 months ago after like 3 years of straight use or more. Possibly my ears are like JUST RIGHT in terms of shape to hold the buds but i feel lucky i don't have to go looking around for other ones lol

surprised by that. they fall out so easy.

Also their sound quality isn't very good. Worth the investment to get decent headphones/earbuds. I've just been lazy since my last ipod and headphones got jacked on a train.

i just got back from my workout. I put it in my pocket and stuck it in my wasteband on the back for my deadlifts. Not sure how PCs will go with that though. I'll probably just do PCs with out it, or maybe by a case with a clip.

Also, some big asshat was in there today with a weight belt and gloves. He started with sitting presses in the smith machine with 1/2 range of motion. Then shrugs in the smith machine from the in front and behind position. The smith machine is next to the squat rack, and it's too close. He had no regard for walking between the two while I was about to squat.

Then he went to do some lame dumbbell workouts. He somehow managed to dump a bunch of dumbbells and almost crushed some other guys foot. Then he moved to the squat rack, but he just alternated pressing an empty bar in front of his head and behind and he did like 1/3 ROM. He took long breaks in between sets. He did some more dumbbell stuff. Then as I was leaving he was beginning a set of reverse grip bench presses, ~1/2 ROM. I'm also assuming he had no plans of racking the 200 or so lbs he left on the smith machine.

I think someone was trying to piss me off last Friday, when I saw 540 lbs left on the squat machine that I had removed 270 off of a few days before. Seriously, who thinks it's cool to leave more weight racked than 95% of the gym can even use, even after removing several plates?

It was probably me, anyone who is using a "squat machine" deserves this.

Yah, the first thing I do when I get to the gym is load as many 45s as will fit on the bar on the smith machine. It serves as a good warm up and I figure it is a public service for those wishing to use the smith machine, at least they'll get a good work out removing them.

lol @ thremp, pure awesomeness. i think ^^^ needs to be incorporated into everyone's warm up program, between all the smith machines and the leg presses in a commerical gym you might be able to get a good metcon workout out of it too

Etymotic er6 i isolators are awesome. Great on planes too since they can basically shut out most of the noise.

I found out today that the "cardio cinema" at my local golds is in actuality a secret fatty cave of darkness.

these sound intriguing for work, but i would like to hear some things at the gym. Like I don't want to be obliviously squatting while some kid is dying stuck under a 200lb BP he foolishly tried to put up by himself.

I bought some Nike/Phillips "sports" earbuds. They weren't too expensive and they get the job done.

yeah, sometimes they are a little too isolating. I wear them under my motorcycle helmet since they double as hearing protection, but I can still hear sirens coming from a long way as well as nearby traffic, horns etc.
