tree branch wrist rollers ITT.

Minus the tree branch, I have two of those. I made them myself from two different diameters of pvc. The exercise is supposed to help mitigate carpal tunnel and elbow tendonitis from too much rock climbing. I never really used them much so I can't say if it works.

Doiing clean and press today, woman walks right into me when I'm about the rip the bar off the floor and I knock her over with the bar.

Why the **** would you try and walk around someone who is clearly lifting.

Well I'm a gym noob myself and I'd never seen anyone use anything resembling that. It was definitely home made with a tree branch, plus it was the crazy old guy who talks to everyone made it seem like the most bizarre thing I'd seen. Obviously I need to respect him some more if he's bringing in legit pieces of workout equipment from home.

I have one that's just a string with a carabiner hook. Wrap it around one end of a bar and twist. I chalk up also, so I guess I must look pretty strange to someone.

As I'm working out today, this PT chick with a nice ass keeps GTGing reverse pullups. Makes no sense to me because when I got the iron gym, I went from GTGing sets of 5 to sets of 12 in like 2 weeks.

Also she set up 2 jump boxes, one 1' and another 2'. She'd jump on the 1, then the 2, and then off the 2 onto the floor. I was gonna tell her she's probably intending to do depth jumps, but that would result in either her getting injured or her thinking I'm a freak and a weird dude.

Maybe she is practicing finishing the first stage in Super Mario Brothers in real life.

I have no idea how hurt she was tbh, I did rage at her though.

It was 225 on the bar and she might've weighed 120 and it hit her in the arm/shoulder on the way to racking the bar on my shoulders.

After my 5 seconds of rage I couldn't stop laughing, and no I didn't apologize.

They produce a crazy enjoyable burn in the forearms. It's worth giving them a try.

mindbender of a ggo today: mid 40s couple, woman is wearing a "westside barbell" shirt and is really buff and prob on roids, guy is wearing a shirt that says "squat until you puke", looks kinda skinnyfat. I see them do leg extensions on a machine and smith machine front squats with 185lbs during the 1.5 hours I'm there. Must be some super secret Louie Simmons rehab programming.

I've seen a wrist rolled thing jigged up with a 2.5kg, a rope, and a stick. The guy using it has wrist problems so I assumed it was some kind of rehab exercise.

This is awesome irony. I've wanted to wear Zumba shirts in to the gym, and my bag is from Planet Fitness, but this is reverse super irony.

We used them for baseball all the time when I was growing up. Our coaches told us big forearms would give us better bat speed (like Steve Garvey duh) and wrist curls and wrist rolls were the key. No squats or power cleans though.
