foam presses are legit (using foam instead of a board takes the bounce out of the bottom of the press), but i have no idea why one would want to do them with band tension instead of more weight

Oh, I'm sure there are many very legit reasons for wanting to do board presses and sh*t... I'm sure those reasons are all to do with wanting to bench more weight...

Now it has been a while, but last time I saw Dave Tate instructing me how to f*cking bench more weight, he didn't mention anything about crossing my feet and lifting them in the air. Dunno, maybe he just forgot.

I'm doing a year of school in Belgium, and the gym I joined has a sauna. IDK if this is standard or not but its one sauna for both men and women, and it alternates between naked days and non-naked day. You MUST be naked on the naked days. None of this bothers me, I just thought it was strange (coming from Canada).

Yes, incredibly strange but probably standard for countries with similar culture to the French lol.

It helps with isolation.

I'm at a more hardcore gym now to hopefully cure me of being a pussy. In the monolift area one day were 3 powerlifters doing suited squats. Biggest dude loads up a numerous amount of plates and gets under the bar. A skinny guy wanders up and starts talking to a mate nearby and staring. Big guy proceeds to tell him to get the **** out of the area. Skinny guy politely complies. lol

i was doing 5rm squats when i hit the got damn safety bar with the left side of the barbell on the fourth rep. closest ive ever come to failing a squat rep. ive never hit it (or them) before, but i fear if i set up the safety bars one setting lower i would be on my ass before they catch the bar. thanks for reading.

Did the same a little while back (4th rep of this fwiw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpbwjJCBNWM). Since then I've put the pins down one hole and have dumped the bar on them no probs. Just do it.

easy way to figure this out is put the pins down 1 lower, do a squat with just the bar and abort the squat. See if the pins catch the bar before you're on your ass.

Today I found out that the naked days apply for the swimming pool too. It was kind of weird being in a pool naked with two other dudes. Again, your not allowed to wear a bathing suit even if you want to.

Its a small pool and I felt like if I got too close to them I would be invading in some way, so I forced myself to keep a greater distance than I usually would. Also, I felt like if I swam under water they would think I'm a perv. Doubt I will ever get used to this policy, but I'm not stopping swimming (or sauna-frying) because of it.

Pullups and deadlifts are pretty much the only exercises that give me callouses.
