oh wait, that mofo was me. god I didn't even realize that some of the shake hit my face so I'm ****ing walking to my car wondering why people were sort of looking at me.

luckily I didn't pass too many people, and didn't really see anyone I knew.
I've gotten home from gym to look in the mirror and see half a salad between my teeth.

I barely ever sweat, but I over-heat pretty quick. Once I break out, it is game over: forget about further movement.

mike craps on your hatred of pallof presses, if you're talking about cable flys or crossovers, I believe they're actually a decent substitution for those who fail at using the pecs properly in the bench press. I'll get flamed for saying that, but I think it's why you see those tanned, thong-wearing dudes doing them.

Haha, I doubt mike would characterize pallof presses as "bench-type pushing stuff"

This big built guy was marching around in between his sets (of preacher curls or some nonsense) like he was psyching himself up for a deadlift 1RM of something, thinking he was the ****. Sounds ******ed i know but this annoys me more than anything else. Wouldn't mind if that was all he does but it's the manner it's done. Like he the man. Ok, now i look like i has the crazy but i'm sure i'm not alone in this pissing me off.

I vomitted at the gym today.

Ate right before my workout, did my squats felt a little nauseous, was warming up for power cleans walking a short circle around the gym between sets and just suddenly threw up.

Will never eat before a workout again. I still feel like ****. And I never throw up.

omfg. this makes so much sense!

I ****in love black coffee and I will randomly wake up at night covered in nasty sweat (which the gf obv adores)

However, I like coffee far more than I dislike sweating, and since my Rancilio Silvia is coming any day now.... STINKON!

yeah I've noticed times I sit down for a session with coffee and w/o coffee and my underarms are sweating way more the times I have coffee

weird random memory from like 5 years ago. at the time i just lifted with a friend, did mostly bench and press and various isolation stuff, knew nothing about deadlifts or squats. some guy came in wearing some sort of really tight lifting suit and put a ton of weight on the bar in the power rack, set low so 45's just barely didn't touch the ground. I didn't know what to make of it at the time, except he was clanging the **** out of the bar setting it down and it was annoying. Just now realized that guy was deadlifting at minimum 5 plates on each side, and i'm pretty sure it was actually 6.

would love some comment on this.

went to the gym today. was warming up with the bar for box squats when a trainer doing his own workout came over (he was doing box jumps). i've seen this guy squat 500, and he tells me he can do 900. first thing he tells me is i'm squatting too low for my height. i'm going below parallel, which is causing my hips to round under and inhibiting some muscles. i tell him i thought my hamstrings were just too tight, and that's causing the butt wink.

he calls over the 'biomechanical analyst' who says it wouldn't matter or something ("everyone's built the same..."). i tell him i'm still working off a hamstring pull, so i know it's doing something to my form. he tells me to touch my toes. i do, which is awesome since my hamstring has been tight. he tells me my form was awful and then comments on my posterior rotation. my feet point outward when i'm standing between squats.

now, half of me is giving him some consideration since i know flexibility is my weak point, especially since i've had a lingering hamstring issues for the last year or so. the other half sounds like he really can't bring anything to the table. do i give him a chance, or just keep stretching it myself?

and what about the squat advice? i know the guy squats a ton, so i can't dismiss his advice.

i dunno if a rack pull is from knee level only or not, he had the bar well below knee level. i also don't know how much respect someone dl'ing 500-600 a bunch of times would get, but i just mentioned it because at the time i paid the guy no mind at all, thought he was annoying really, when he actually was doing a lift i should respect. it's just funny how your perspective can change what you think of things.

he just wanted to make it easier to load the bar imo. pretty ****ing terrible and lazy.
