Squats felt good today.

Also played 9 on Wednesday, shot +4 the first 4 holes and -3 the last 5. I dunked one from 143 with a PW for eagle, birdied the next hole after almost knocking it in again from 85 with my LW and missed two more birdie putts on 8 and 9.

I got really sick Sunday morning and vomited for the first time in over a decade (non alcohol related of course). I was basically dead for 36 hours and lost about 5lbs, but started feeling better last night so decided to give the gym a shot today and just take it easy.

Also got my first wsop event of the summer coming up on Thursday, $1500 6max NL.

Busted the 6max just before dinner break yesterday. 7500 starting stack, I got down to about 5k early after backdoor flush<backdoor flush, then was cruising along and got up to 11k, then card dead for a while and kept flopping second best. Ended up jamming 9bb with A9o and ran into queens, according to shove charts it was a fine shove, but given I had a soft table I don't think I like it in retrospect, meh. Millionaire maker tomorrow.

Probably won't play another tourney til the monster stack, maybe $3k 6max.

Sleep schedule has been all over the place recently. I took naps the last two days in the early afternoon that were meant to be an hour or two but I ended up not waking up til 9pm lol. Gonna try to get back to normalish, at least keep my sleeping to once/day.

It's been over 110 degrees everyday here recently which makes my grip slip pretty quickly, didn't feel like chalking. It's also leading to a pretty serious lack of energy overall which is definitely showing up at the gym.

Cashed in my first wsop this summer (1/4 tournies so far). It was just a regular $1k nl that I decided to play because my friend was in town and playing his first ever wsop event. We both ended up cashing and being at adjacent tables the entire time which was cool. He busted in the first min cash payout and I made day 2 and finished 148th/~2000 (303 made the $) for a little $. I could never get anything going really, anytime I doubled up to a playable stack I would lose it back and get back into short stack ninja mode, then was card dead all day 2 so I can't be mad with where I finished. Playing the monster stack next which starts this weekend.

Played day 1 of the main event yesterday and finished with 59.7k. I had a pretty good table, although the two pros were to my direct left which was annoying. Never got below 40k and was up to 84k in the 4th level but ended up losing almost every hand in the last level of the day. Day 2 starts tomorrow at noon.

couple q's. what are the 8 and 5 round exercises? 8 rounds of different variations of ohp? or other chest exercises?

jw how you decided on your current program as opposed to a more muscle specific split program, and if you've ever considered switching up routines. that's what i'm currently doing (4 days on 2 muscle splits + supersetting some abs/calves/etc.) but am interested in incorporating more of the olympic lifts/legs and other stuff but didn't seem to have great results previously doing a more of the general/circuit type approach.

The 8 rounds are just supersets of ohp and chin-ups or bench/incline and cable rows. The 5 rounds are suspersets for biceps and triceps. Basically all just for size. The first exercise of each day is primarily for strength and the rest for aesthetics. Just been mindlessly doing this program for a while which is nice and easy during the summer when I have less energy and time anyway. Once I get back to a more regular schedule I might switch things up.
